Freda keeps standing over us looking as though what she just said made absolute sense. The look on her face made me angry. Heather starts breathing heavily, placing her hand over her heart as tears start flowing down her face like a faucet. Freda looks guilty for a second then she looks confused. This clearly wasn't the reaction she was hoping for.

But I didn't pay attention to her for too long. I started panicking when I saw Heather crying. I didn't know what to do. I decide to hug her but she pushes away after a while still trying to breathe.

"Heather breather with me. Look at me" I touch her face to force her to look at me and take deep breaths in and out. After away she starts syncing to my breaths and starts to relax. I feel so much relief, as though I wasn't breathing either. I try to help her stand up before I look up and still see Freda standing there like an idiot and this time her idoit friends weren't too far behind. I looked at Dre who was one of these people and he avoided eye contact. Looking as if the world would swallow him. I don't pay him much mind and instead stand in front of Freda and slap her across the face. I could hear gasps as Freda places a hand on the cheek I just slapped. She looks shocked.

"Bitch" I say staring at her square in the face. I then shift my focused back to Heather and she is now standing and looking at me with shock. She starts laughing, as I hurry to take out some tissues from my blazer to help wipe away her tears. She is no longer crying but instead she's smiling at me. She's not even paying attention to Freda anymore. She's looking at me as I bring the tissues to her face.

"What just happened" I hear someone say. I don't turn to look at them and neither does Heather. Instead she closes her eyes whilst I wipe her tears.

"Did you just slap me?" Freda finally shouts. Well that was a late reaction. A reaction that makes me angry again. I go in for another slap but Heather holds my arm stopping me whilst Freda flinches. For someone who speaks a lot of bull, she sure lacks the courage to back it up.

"Can you repeat what you just said?" Heather asks. She's standing up straightm oozing with confidence. This is the Heather I know. She's always been confident, always mature.

"You're a gold digging lesbian is what I said" Freda says crossing her arms, not even making eye contact with her.

Heather takes a deep breath. "And who told you that? Is that an idea you came up with yourself?" She asks rolling her eyes.

"No, you bitch. Dre told everyone the truth, that's why you broke up with him"

Heather looked at Dre with the face of betrayal but that doesn't last long. She closes her eyes. "You're right" she says.

"What?" Freda asks, clearly surprised by what she said. "You're right. Is that what you want to hear? Because no matter what I say you won't believe me. So you're right." She says.

Dang, she's a better person than me. I would've slapped her. What a crazy assumption but I guess it's not an assumption but more of a rumour being spread by the schools golden boy.

Freda struggles to come up with anything to say. So she picks up my bag and hers, and drags me inside. She pauses to look at Dre with disappointment written all over her face. He isn't even able to look at her in the eye.
