He was light at heart

a subtle grace.

No man of hurry

nor man of chase.

A stoic one

a stable thought.

My heart was torn

my mind did fought.

The urge

the feeling

to accept as mine

the love he gave me

the love divine.

And so I saw him on older days

which gave way to newer nights

The Moons had changed

and changed of phase

I saw him in morn early

and in evenings quite late.

What was my purpose,

than to be tied to they

For he who I love

is a thought away.

My heart of hearts

is to be laid to rest

by a bed made by him

where I feel as best.

Where am I to go

through rain or snow

to  where I search high

and where I search low

for a love like his to keep alive

his glorious estates

where I do thrive

It was love born new

still fresh and young

how my voice could sing

how my eyes felt rung

By the beauty of his figure

and of form

a mind like mine

was sure to be sworn

My heart now warmed

far from frozen

His cheeks did blush,

a color of rosen

When he looked at me

the winter did recede

and a kiss on my lips

I did receive.
