Peyton's POV:
I woke up in the morning to Emma grabbing my arm and snuggling in closer to me. Turning my head to look at the time, I saw that it was close to noon. Sitting up abruptly, I looked harder at the clock, unable to believe that I had actually slept in. Emma stirred next to me, woken by my quick movements, and let out a slight whine, "What's the matter?" she asked.
"It's 11:30!" I said, running a hand down my face in disbelief.
"Yeah, and?" she asked, clearly not understanding how big of a deal this was.
"And," I started, looking down at her, "I've never slept in past 7 in the last ten or so years."
"So you slept?" she asked, ignoring the big part of this situation. I shook my head as she yawned, covering her eyes with her arm. "I'm glad you slept, and see, you didn't wake me with nightmares." She peaked out from beneath her arm; her green eyes still hazed with sleep.
"No, I didn't; you were right," I admitted, if not a bit begrudgingly. "Well, if you wanted to go to the amusement park, we should get up and get going."
Emma yawned as she sat up, "You are correct; I did want to go to the amusement park," she swung her legs off the side of the bed and stood. The shirt I had given her to sleep in had risen above her hips, leaving part of her stomach and her ass bare before the shirt fell to cover her body. That one glance was enough to make me aroused, and I quickly adjusted myself so she wouldn't notice as I stood and started making the bed.
"Get dressed, and I'll go make us some breakfast, or would it be lunch now?" I asked once I was done making the bed.
"It would still be breakfast," Emma said, laughing.
I smiled and gave a shrug, "How would I know when I've never slept in this long, ever." I gave her a quick kiss before heading out to the kitchen.
Jake and Lorine were sitting at the island quietly, talking, when I entered. "Morning," I said, and they replied with 'mornings' themselves. "Did you sleep well?"
"We did, yes," Jake answered, "We helped ourselves to coffee because we didn't know when you two would be up."
"All good. Did you find it okay?"
"Yeah," answered Lorine, "Your coffee machine is amazing!"
I smiled, "I pride myself in having the ability to make really good coffee." I said, starting to make myself a cup. "Did you guys have breakfast?" They shook their heads in unison, "How do eggs sound?" I asked.
"Good to me," Jake replied, and I nodded, turning to start the stove.
"Where is Em?" Lorine asked.
"She is getting ready; I told her I'd get breakfast ready," I said, getting the eggs from the fridge.
"That's so sweet!" she said, and I shrugged. Wasn't that what boyfriends normally did for their significant others? Emma walked into the room, her red hair wet from a shower, wearing jeans and a T-shirt that said 'My anxiety is chronic, but this ass is iconic." I laughed reading it, but it actually made me kind of sad. Was her anxiety really that bad?
"What's so sweet?" she asked, taking a seat next to Lorine.
"That he told you to get ready before him," Lorine explained, and I gave Emma a look that said, 'I don't know what's so big about it,' Emma just smiled back at me, and I went back to making the food.
"So after breakfast, we can head to ValleyFair, seeing as we slept in past when it opens," I said, sectioning the food onto four separate plates. I handed each of them a plate of food and a fork before bringing my own to the table and starting to eat.
