wednesday's pov ::

*a week later*

today is the day we go back to nevermore. i don't want to though. all of us finished packing up and got ready to go. it was a lot of work, but i barely could pack due to the condition i'm in but i did help just a little. i can walk on my own. but barely. enid suggest i walk with help. but i declined.

"you guys ready to go?" mother said

"yes!/absolutely!/so ready!/obviously!" enid, yoko, divina and bianca said

"what about you my viper?" father asks

"i guess." i said softly

i wasn't ready to go. but i had too. just one more year of high school. we all said our goodbyes and left. mother, father and pupsley couldn't fit in the car so they didn't come with.

*at nevermore*

we arrived at nevermore in 35 minutes exact. the place was the same as last year. we can all see the other students arriving as well. we separate to our dorms and unpacked. classes start tomorrow. so we apparently have 1 more day of break.

*2 hours later*  *after they all finished unpacking*

"omg that took so long!" my girlfriend says as she sat on my bed

"something wrong my love? you don't seem happy to be back here." she said as she faced me while i was sitting next to her

"sorry. i don't know." i sighed

i actually had no idea why i was feeling this way.

"oh-" enid said until she was interrupted by a knock

after that principal weems walks in.

"hello girls! welcome back!" weems says happily

"hello!/hi" me and enid greeted her

"so i heard what happened to you wednesday. so i think it'll be best if you don't attend classes for another 2 weeks-" weems stopped

"is something wrong dear?" weems asks as she saw my expression

"sorry she doesn't like to be reminded of that" enid says

"oh so sorry about that!" weems apologized softly

"it's fine. really." i say

"okay then. i'll be going now. have a good day girls!" weems waved as she walked out the door

enid's pov ::

"you okay?" i ask my girlfriend as weems left the room

"mhm." wens said as she faced me

"well, please be okay!" i said as i placed a peck on her forehead

"soooo what do you wanna doooo?" i ask as i stood up from the bed and faced her

"i don't know." she looked down again

"why are you so apathetic!" i chucked as i shook her

*wednesday hisses*

"shit! i'm so so sorry!" i said as i realized she was still in pain

"your okay." she stood up and gave me a hug

"wens? what's this abou-" i say confused before she cut me off

"shush." she said as her face was buried in my shoulder

guess she just wanted a hug! how cuteeee!

"okay babe, actually. is something wrong? usually you aren't like this" i said questioning her

"i-i don't wanna be like this.!" she said as she pulled away from the hug

"like what?" i said confused

"i wanna recover from this. i can't even do anything anymore! i'm way more vulnerable than before." she admitted

"oh wednesday.." i said

"you'll recover soon." i added

"did you hear what she said? i can't go to classes for another 2 weeks because of the condition i'm in!" my girlfriend says loudly

"i don't wanna act like i'm unable to do anything!" she adds

"but you aren't acting?" i said confused

*wednesday sighs*

"you'll be okay soon my dear i promise." i assured her as i hugged her

"i just wanna be able do things again and on my own again." my girlfriend cries

it hurts me to see her cry.

"do you want me to let you do things on your own?" i asked knowing it would end up badly

"i love your help, but please. i don't want to put all this pressure on you and others." she says

"you aren't putting any pressure dear. and i'll try to let you do things on your own again. but please just be careful. if you do need help i'm here" i told

"okay then on that note i'm gonna go take a shower, right now! on my own!" she says pulling away from the hug and walking towards her closet limping

oh god.

wednesday's pov ::

i walk into the bathroom getting ready for my shower. i take off my shirt which was a struggle because my right arm was still hurting and slightly broken but it's healing. i look at the mirror looking at myself. seeing all the scars on my body that was healing. i sigh again. after i got myself fully undressed i take my braids out, turned the water on and stepped into the shower. and closed the curtains.

*after she was done showering*

after i finish dressing myself i walked out of the bathroom i find enid but also yoko, divina and bianca all in the room playing uno.

"hey wednesday!" they all say when they see me

"hello. when did you guys get here?" i said question them

"they came in a few minutes after you went in" my girlfriend says

"oh okay" i said

"so you can't go to classes tomorrow?" yoko asks

"yeah, i guess i can't" i sighed as i walked over to my desk

"what are you doing?" enid asks

"writing." i said as i sat down on my desk chair

"okay be careful with your arm" enid told

"so what did you guys come here for?" i asked

"don't know we were bored" divina says

"UNO" yoko yells because she won the game

"god damn it!" bianca says

"oh my god i almost forgot! do you guys wanna come with us to this welcome back to nevermore party? some kid invited all of us and 5 other students" divina asks

"yes of course!" my girlfriend says

"absolutely not i have a trauma with parties and boys" i immediately say

"cmon wednesday! you'll be fine!" yoko assured

"okay fine. only because enid is going." i agreed
