A year and six months had passed. Life was good, and nothing was out of the norm.

Nai was now about 26 years old and she was at a very stable point in life, both mentally and financially. Her life was thriving and she was doing bad all by herself.

She had now moved and settled in Atlanta. She wanted it to be her last move, but she did buy a home in Los Angeles, just in case she ever had to go back. She just realized that Orlando wasn't for her, however, she did keep her businesses there and would visit occasionally.

Over the past year and some change, a lot of things had changed in her life. She now recognized and thanked who was the head of her life, and life got better.

She was just keeping her distance from some people. And you know who the people are. Of course she was still friends with the guys, but they weren't as close as they once were.

As much as she loved them, she knew it was the right thing to do. When she was close with them, she was closer to Sin. And it was about time she started venturing out to other people. They talked often, about once a week.

And you better know that they had a bone to pick with Sin. But he was their brother and they wouldn't dare kick him to the curb. And she would never ask for them to pick. But they were super mad at him for how he treated her, even before they were in a relationship.

She didn't want them to think that she was being an asshole, but they understood. She was just trying to better herself. She found her life revolving around one thing, and that's just not right.

She wasn't married and settled with a partner yet, but she was comfortable with everything else. Being single wasn't so bad, and she would just let love come naturally.

She was just hoping nothing would come up and that she would fall back down to the level she was at. Love made her do some stupid things. It was like she didn't know her worth anymore at one point.

She'd just started over mentally. And it was the best thing for her. She was no longer making stupid decisions and doing impulsive things.

The truth is, she never healed from any of her trauma. Her mother died when she was young, so she no longer had the guidance of a mother. She fell into the trap of her first love and endured so much abuse. Her bestfriend, who she trusted with her life, betrayed her. And so on.

The point is, she never healed.

She was broken from years and years of unhappiness. She thought she was happy, but it was nothing but toxicity and blindness. She could see now.
