Throughout my whole life, until now - I had never challenged a terrorist to share a hotel room with me.
That would be one crazy step.
We used to go on squad missions. Get calls and search places. Note down everything and interrogate witnesses.
In an attempt to get to the culprit.
Never in my life, I had thought that I would resort to such a different approach.
But it was perfect.
Being in the same room as him is the only way to get to the heart of his plan.
And he never declines such challenges.
Because would be a shame to his name.
Donnor James. The man who is bothered by a woman wanting to share a hotel room with him.
I glanced through the airplane window, my head high up with the view of the city closing in.
I was sitting with Watt, who had his head buried in a magazine, snoring his heart out.
Our way to the airport went all calm and silent. Donnor took a private vehicle privately for obvious purposes, got his identity and everything changed just in time.
But that came with a plus for me.
Ring! Ring!
Watt jolted up, picking up his phone as the plane stopped at the runway. People around me got up, pushing past each other to get out.
"Yes, boss. Okay. Yes, I will get her there."
Watt cut the call, glancing at me.
"All good? Is he angry?"
He shook his head, getting our bags.
"Why should he be angry? He is fine. Just a little mood off because of not getting a seat here in this plane."
I shrugged, smiling underneath the surface as we got out of the plane.
Watt caught my face.
"You are happy, aren't you? He wasn't here to bother you."
I coughed, brushing it away with a laugh.
"No...no...it's nothing like that. He is not annoying....why would I think like that.."
Watt's voice sounded as fake as politicians nowadays.
"Sure..."
We hopped on the bus which took us to one vast airport labelled Schiphol.
We were here. I drew in a long breath.
Urun and two more guards joined us as we stood in the luggage area to collect our luggage.
"Boss is here yet?" Urun asked, glancing at people chattering something in Dutch, passing by us.
"No, not yet. He will catch up with us at the hotel entrance."
I stood silent, planning on what I would do once and Donnor would be in the same hotel room.
"Callie! Come!"
Watt broke my train of thought. He, Urun, and the guards were all staring at me, standing at the exit point.
I ran, catching up with them.
A line of cabs stood outside. We walked further ahead, chattering and gossip floating in my ears.
"What's happening?"
I asked. Watt leaned in on the crowd, his face turning a new, shocked shade.
"Boss...?"
My face dropped. The two guards who were standing beside me leaned in. Urun joined the party.
