My alarm went off as I woke up, groaning at the sound and turned it off, I sat up and looked at Ayame, who was sound asleep by my side. I shook her softly but she didn't even stir, I sighed and coated my hand with Venom, stroking her cheek and she jolted awake from the cold sensation.

Ayame: "Gah!"

She rubbed her cheek and looked up at me, pouting, I couldn't help but smile. She started playfully hitting my chest, I chuckled and let her do it.

Ayame: "So you think waking me up like that is funny, huh?"

Kaito: "Hey, it's not my fault you wouldn't wake up after shaking you normally. We both know your a heavy sleeper."

Ayame: "Hmph!"

I smirked and hugged her, she squealed from the cold sensation and I let her go, a big smile on my face, she pouted more before hopping off the bed and walking to the door, she turned around and looked at me.

Ayame: "Stupid big brother!"

I chuckled and got out of bed, I stretched a little bit and changed into my school uniform before heading out the room, Ayame was already downstairs, in her nursery uniform, sitting at the table. James was at the head of the table, reading the newspaper like normal, Reina was standing by the stove, flipping some pancakes. I sat down next to Ayame and looked at her, she was staring at Reina, a hungry expression on her face. I poked her cheek and she looked at me.

Ayame: "Can't help it...it's just so yummy~"

Kaito: "Just wait a bit longer ok, then you can eat it."

Ayame: "Ugh."

She rested her head on the table, I pat her back and she groaned, I laughed and stood up, heading towards Reina and putting plates out. Reina smiled and put the pancakes on them. I went and placed the plates and began we had breakfast.

James: "Hmm...delicious, like always Reina."

Reina: "Hehe, thanks darling. I take it Ayame was with you last night, Kaito? Since she wasn't in her room this morning."

I swallowed my bite and looked at her, I came up with a lie to cover up the truth on why she slept in my room.

Kaito: "Yeah, she had a bad dream and wanted some company. So I let her sleep in my room."

Reina: "You're a good brother."

James: "Agreed."

I blushed a little and scratched my cheek, embarrassed from the praise.

Kaito: "Thanks Mom, Dad."

I smile and finish my pancakes, Ayame finished hers and ran to get her bag. Reina pulled a bar of chocolate out and tossed it in the air, Venom shot out and munched on it, looking to her with happy eyes.

Venom: "Thawk yow."

Reina: "Your welcome, and don't talk with your mouth full."

Venom gulped the last piece down and nodded before returning back into me, I stood up and grabbed my bag, slinging it over my shoulder and waiting for Ayame by the door. She ran downstairs and joined me, smiling happily. I ruffled her hair and opened the door, stepping outside with Ayame, I sent a tendril out and placed her on my shoulders and walked off.

Kaito: "Let's head to school."

Ayame: "Mhm!

We walked the streets as I looked at the buildings passing us by. Ayame was humming a tune as we were walking, a bright smile on face that was truly infectious. Just then I heard both Carnage and Venom.
