part 5: The Tragedy (part three; final part)

"What a pathetic attempt at an attack." the masked man said as he held her in the air like it was nothing.

She smiled slightly when the wind started to pick up. "Rasengan." she said as she got his arm with it. Her eyes suddenly turned violet and she held out her arm; fingers spreading out wide.

"Almighty pull!" She flicked her hand towards herself as she closed all but her middle and pointer fingers. He went flying into her as she grabbed the fallen kunai and threw it at him. As he should've made contact with the weapon; it passed right through him and he had his arm ready to strike her down.

Hara's eyes widened in fear but it ended when minato appeared above him and resengan'd his back. The attack left a crater as minato grabbed hara and jumped a few steps away.

"That was a risky plan that almost backfired terribly." minato scolded as he watched her eyes change back to normal. "I know," hara replied, her eyes trained on the enemy. "But it worked, didn't it?" she smirked as minato nodded.

"Indeed it did." the enemy growled out as he stood. He spoke before moving his arm in a circle; disappearing as it passed around his body.

Minato and hara split up for a few as he went to fight the nine tailed fox. Hara went back to the house and saw her mother and brother passed out. As she walked in, a floor board squeaked and she whipped out a kunai.

"You can't even touch me, no use in trying to use that." the masked man said as he appeared by her family.

"Get away from them!" she said as her grip tightened; her knuckles turning white. The guy didn't move nor did he reply; he just glanced at the picture by him. It was the same one she treasures, but that was her mother's copy.

"Ohh, is this your team?" he asked and she gritted her teeth. "Hai." she confirmed. "Why aren't they here with you? Protecting their lady?" he questioned and all the memories she buried came back.

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, obito, obito please don't die," she sobbed as she rested her head on what's left of his chest. "Please, please don't leave." she cried out as he weakly laid his hand on her head.

"RIN!!!" Hara's scream sounded through the night, on her knees with tears already in her eyes. "RIN, no!!" she sobbed while stumbling to her body. "No, not you too." she whispered in despair as Kakashi passed out from shock and drained chakra.

Her eyes watered, biting her lip she glared at him with a burning hatred. "Get away from them." she repeated in a deadly calm voice. The masked man's single eye widened a fraction and a deep laugh rang in the house.

"It seems you've changed hara," he said like he knew her. "Or maybe you just don't recognize me." he added and she faltered for a second. In that second; he stood in front of her and his red eye told her of his origin.

"Let's watch some fun memories; shall we?" he said before putting her in a genjutsu. They seemed to be ghost-like as obito's death replayed. Hara couldn't take it, but the masked man grabbed her arm and chin, forcing her to watch.

"Is this boy important to you?" he asked and she choked on a sob. "Well?" he squeezed her arm and she cried out. "Yes! Yes, he is!" she shouted, tears streaming down her face as she watched obito die; she didn't know why she was cursed.

Were her dreams not enough? Dose Kami truly hate her enough that he sends an uchiha her way to replay his death when she's wide awake.

Everything turned white as her last cry for obito echoed throughout the 'room'. It changed to Rin's death and how the unknown figure hugged her unconscious body. "Hara, I'm sorry," the unknown guy gasped out. "I wish I was faster; I'm so sorry." he cried.

He looked at kakashi as hate filled his eyes. He laid her down gently as voices were heard, and quickly approaching. He ran away and jumped into the trees as a group of leaf shinobi appeared and made sure they're all alive.

"Kakashi and Hara are alive, but... rin has-"

It faded out again as they appeared back in the home; Kushina and her baby were still unconscious. "Why, why, why!!" she fell to her knees while holding obito's goggles; her tears flowing like rivers as she shook her head slightly.

The masked man watched as she broke down about her lover's and friend's deaths. She watched both of them die and to her; she died right along with them.

"Why?? They're dead, so why did you do that?" Hara asked as she glanced back at him. The masked man kneeled down beside her and grabbed her face. "You'll know someday." and with that; she was back in a genjutsu.

This one, however, wasn't painful; it was what her future would have looked like if it weren't for war. It showed Kakashi and Rin with a young child, minato and Kushina still running the village and her otouto was there with them. She found herself in a house; being tackled by a child with uchiha features.

"Welcome home mommy!!" she shouted with a girn; showing off her missing tooth. She was too at awe to say anything, but then a man appeared with an apron on.

"Obito."

Hara knew it was him, and the said man grinned. "Why do you look so shocked?" he asked as he walked up and kissed her forehead. "I made ramen, darling." he added, making Hara grin and follow them to the dining room.

"Naruto!!" Hara screamed in terror as she watched the claw of the nine tailed fox go after her otouto. She jumped in the way; it barely making it through her stomach as she slid off and onto her knees. She was able to turn and see the gruesome sight of her parents fully impaled.

She coughed up blood as she bled out. "Hara, why would you do that? We're supposed to protect you and naruto! You weren't supposed to be harmed!" Kushina screamed out; she watched in agony as her daughter's light slowly faded.

"I'm his onee," hara grinned as she held her stomach. "It's my job to protect him with my life." she tried laughing but it turned into a pained cough; blood dripping down her chin. "No! Hara!" Kakashi's shouts were heard from outside Kushina's barrier as he watched hara collapse on the ground.

"Papa, I want you to seal some of the nine tails in me, too," she coughed up blood and winced in pain. "I want to help, even if it takes my life; I will save Naruto in any way I can." Hara grinned as blood dripped down her chin and as she laid there, minato and Kushina cried at their daughters' words.

Minato and Kushina had to finish what they started; to protect their last living child. Minato sealed away the nine tailed fox inside of Naruto, himself, and Hara; using the reaper death seal and dying after the jutsu was done. Kushina bled out when the claw disappeared from her chest. The family laid dead; the cries of the infant were all Kakashi could hear as he held Hara in his arms.
