part 7: the missions

She arrived in the sand village two days later; lost in thought from her encounter with the uchiha.

"Your name is obito uchiha?" she asked with wide eyes. Hara sat there baffled by what she saw, seeing how lovestruck she acted towards him. "My name is unimportant," he answered as he knelt down to her. "I have shown you all the memories you have with the one you love. That boy is obito uchiha and he is nothing more than a missing memory now." the man added.

Hara shook her head to rid her mind of the recent memory; sighing as she arrived at the kazekage's office. "Hello, how may I help you?" the middle aged woman asked as she politely smiled at hara. "I'm here on official business for the leaf village. Is lord kazekage here?" Hara asked as she returned the smile.

"Yes he is, second door on the left; third floor." the receptionist instructed as she pointed to the stairwell beside her. "Thank you." Hara bowed before walking up to the office and knocking three times on the door. "Come in." a monotone voice called; she quickly opened the door and bowed.

"What do you want?"

"I've been sent by the hokage to give you this." she handed him the scroll with another bow.

"Hmmm, you can go now."

He waved her off and she quickly walked out of the office. "Have a good day, ma'am." Hara smiled at the lady before walking out of the building and sighing. She looked around with a slight pout, gearing up to head back home.

Hara took the long way back through the village; walking by a park and seeing a small red haired boy sitting by himself. She watched as a ball was kicked and rolled up to him, the little boy picked it up and walked closer to the kids.

"Here." she heard him say but the kids just looked disgusted and walked away from him. "Poor kid." Hara muttered to herself as she walked up and smiled at him. "Hello," she called as he noticed her presence. "I'm hara, what's your name?" she asked as she crouched down to his height.

"...Gaara." he hesitated, but alas told her his name and her smile brightened. "Would you like to play with me? We can kick the ball together." she gestured to it as she watched him smile slightly. "You want to play with me?"

"Of course!"

Hara played with gaara for three hours and walked him home as the sun set behind them. The door was opened by a man who seemed surprised by Hara's appearance. "Hello, I'm hara," she introduced with a polite handshake. "I'm just making sure Gaara gets home safely." she explained.

"Oh! I see," he nodded. "I'm yashamaru, thank you for bringing him home." the man, yashamaru bowed slightly as hara smiled with a wave. "No problem, he's a sweet kid," she then crouched to gaara's height. "Bye gaara, I had a lot of fun." she grinned at him and he looked down in sadness.

"I don't want you to go." he muttered, loosely holding his teddy bear. "Hmm, how about this," she untied her bracelet and handed it to him. "Next time we see each other you give me this back and we'll play again, but if you lose it then i won't play with you." she teased him, but he took it to heart.

"I promise i won't lose it, big sister!" he exclaimed, a shocking sentence to his guardian. "I trust you gaara," she smiled before standing back up. "Till then, buddy." She then bowed to yashamaru before disappearing.

Hara reappeared close to the village gates, giving the guards her pass before walking out of the village. Once she was out of sight, hara grabbed her mask and made her way back to the leaf.

I know it's a short chapter, but that's really just a filler for the story. though it will come back in the future so i guess it could be important...

anyway! The story will now start to follow Naruto's adventures, so I guess this is where I say it starts to pick up.
