After a long business trip, Gojo wanted to rest. But he wasn't feeling going home today.

So he thought of visiting Aiko's house which wasn't far away.

As he opened the door, the sounds of a vacuum could be heard. "Oh~ Megumi. What are you doing here?"

"I could ask you the same."

"I was just visiting. If I go back now, the elders will just nag at me." Gojo plumped down on the sofa while Megumi continued cleaning.

"Neh, Megumi."

"What?"

"Did you know? Me and Aiko are childhood friends."

Megumi whipped his head to Gojo. "Eh? She didn't tell me."

"Yeah... She was so innocent. But the good kind. The kind that always helps just because. The kid who sees everything as they are."

Megumi was no idiot. He could hear the emotions through his voice. But what can he do other than listen?

"But her parents always took her to their missions. So we couldn't meet anymore." Gojo pouted. "Years after, we met again. And she didn't even remember me." Though his words were shortened, the memories played in Gojo's mind. The ones in his childhood and the ones in high school.

'The last time I felt like 'human' was with Suguru. But the first time was with you. When we were kids, I desperately looked for you. The one who would treat me like a kid. And when I found my partner, you just had to show up. You even went and forgot about me. Those moments that I treasured. Those important memories that made me look for someone to understand me.  That's why I hated you.'

Megumi wanted to listen. Wanted to know more. About the woman who practically raised him and his sister. The woman that he saw as a mother.

"Aiko Sasaki. Her parents named her Aiko, meaning their loved one." Gojo smiled through the memories.

"Aiko. Little loved one."

Gojo held a piece of paper with letters written in code.

It wasn't a code that anyone would know. Not a code that was taught to sorcerers.

"Neh, Satoru. Curses aren't our only enemies, right?"

The young Gojo hummed in agreement. "Why did you ask?"

"Mom and Dad fought some last time. They were exchanging information with someone but enemies messed up mom and dad's work." The little girl continued writing, eraning the young boy's interest.

"So what have you been doing?" He asked s he took a peak in her work.

"A secret code!" She showed it to him. "I'll teach it to you so only you would know! That way no matter what happens, only you would know what I'll say."

~~~
"If you remembered all this time, you could've told me." Gojo lamented while he decoded the message.
'An enemy using his body.'
Gojo crumpled the paper and anger bubbled up inside him.
'I swear I'll kill him. For both of you.'
