Restful Shadowy Day

A/N: So... it's been like what, four years? I stopped writing this story because OKKO ended and I am happy with Venomous and Boxman. I'm just going to go ahead and post what I've written back then with barely any edits. Enjoy!

Venomous wakes up and sees a sleeping Rakal on his chest. He smiles and wraps his arms around her. "This feels right." He said quietly to himself and plays with her hair a bit. Rakal giggles and wakes up to look up at him. "Morning." She smiled. "Morning, did you sleep well?" He asked, still playing with her hair. "Yeah, you?" She asks, wrapping her arms around him. "Extremely well." He grins and kisses her.

Rakal giggles into the kiss and kiss back. "You know, now that I'm no longer a nanny and don't work for you, what am I now?" Rakal asked. "Anything you want." Venomous answered. "Go back to school, start a business, play videos games with Fink. I'll support you." Hearing all that made Rakal a bit nervous. A whole world of possibilities and she couldn't really think on what to do. "That's a lot to take in, but I guess I have time to decide." She smiled a little. "Of course." He said and kissed her forehead before getting out of bed.

"If you want, you can sleep in a little." Venomous states and starts to get ready for the day. "I think you deserve it, after what you had to go through last night..." He became quiet for a bit, remembering what Cosma did to Rakal. "I really wanted to punch her, when she pulled you down..." He grumbled. "I noticed." Rakal said and sat up with his dress shirt slightly on.

"Honestly, the reason I got back up was because of you. Trying your best to act like nothing was wrong. I wanted to try my best too." She explained and put a hand on her throat. "I should have been upfront with them." Venomous sighed and sat down on the edge of the bed. Rakal hugs him from behind and cuddles. "You know we couldn't." She whispered. "We could, they just would have had a harder time to have them get to know you." He grabbed her hands and gave them a kiss. "You know what, I'll tell them about us next time I see them." He stated as he gets back up.

"Alright then, and I think I will sleep in a bit, but will you and Fink be okay?" She asked. "We'll be fine. I want you to focus on you today." He said as he put on his lab coat. "I think I'm gonna try my hand at teaching Fink on how to be a scientist today. Just the basics, of course. No chemicals yet, but I'm glad she's showing some interest in it." He said, pulling out his phone to see the chalk drawing she did.

Rakal giggles and gets out of bed to hug Venomous. "I'm glad too..."

After a nice late morning nap and getting ready, Rakal was ready for the day. She decides to practice her flying a little. She'd been practicing every now and then, but this time, she felt like she was ready to try long distance. She jumps, boosting herself with flames from her soles, but she went a bit too high and hit a cloud. She dug herself through and looked down.

She does some quick thinking and blast a big enough section off and propel her and the cloud to Lakewood Plaza Turbo. Once she got there, the cloud started to disappear under her. "Oh shoot!" She panicked and jumps off while she shoots out fire from her legs and hands. "That was close." She smiled and then noticed she was flying. "Oh my Cob, I'm flying like a natural!" She cheered and looks down. She lowers the fire just a bit and lands.

"You did it!" She hears a familiar voice behind her and looks to see KO running up to her. "You saw?" She asked, grinning. "Yup, you were awesome!" He grins and jumps to give her a hug. "Are you going to mommy's dojo today?" He asked as he lets go. "Kinda, I was wondering if she could give me some advice." She said as she starts walking and KO followed. "I was heading there too. She's just about done with her morning class and we'll be having lunch together." He explains.

"Oh, maybe I should wait until after?" Rakal asked, not realizing it was almost noon already. "What time do you think you'll be done?" She asked. "About an hour." KO shrugs. "Cool, gives me some time to do some exercises." She smiles and heads to the forest. "See ya later, KO! Tell your mom I said hi!" She said as she waves bye. "Alright! See ya!" KO waved back and ran to the dojo.
