Ice Cream Face

Rakal reads over the contract Venomous typed up after they've discussed her duties as Fink's live-in nanny. The usual stuff that nannies usually do, plus a bit of cooking and cleaning, even though she wasn't obligated to. Venomous comes back with a bowl of ice cream.

"So, looks good?" He asked as her sets the bowl next to her. She reads it a bit more before signing it. "Here." She handed it to him. "It had everything we've talked about in black and white." She shrugged and started to eat her cold treat.

Venomous looks at her signature and puts the paper somewhere safe. Rakal let go a big yawn after enjoying her ice cream. She decided to go to the kitchen to rinse her bowl. She gets lost in thought as she does so. Why did she agree to this? Why isn't she scared? Should she run away again? Why is she starting to-?!

"Getting tired?" Venomous asked right behind her. She comes back to reality and turns around. "Nope. I think I'll start heading home now and then I'll bring my stuff here in the morning." She smiled, but he could tell she was exhausted. "Come on, you know you can't go out this late. I got a spare bedroom you can use." He said, feeling pretty tired himself.

Rakal shakes her head and starts heading out. "I appreciate the offer, but I got this." She said, but her body betrays her ruse with a massive yawn. She almost lost her balance a bit, but regains it, noticing Venomous right behind her.

If she didn't know better, it almost looked like he was concerned. "You got this, huh?" He asked, laughing at her. "Follow me, and that's an order." He smiled. Rakal sighed and followed the purple man out of the kitchen and up a flight of stairs.

Venomous shows her the guest room. It was smaller than what she expected, but it has a bed, a dresser, and a closet. That's honestly all she needed to live there. Especially a bed. "Thank you for the bed, Professor Venomous." She smiled at him and went to bed, immediately falling asleep. He chuckled a little and starts closing the door. "Good night, Rakal."

"Are we there yet??" Fink whined, bored out of her mind. Professor Venomous let Rakal borrow one of his cars and get Fink out of the house. Rakal can still hear him say, "I hardly have time to let her out these days, plus she can help you with your stuff afterwords." She tried to argue that she didn't know the area very well, but surprisingly, Fink suggested she can guide her.

So now, it was Rakal and Fink, against the city, but first, Rakal wanted to get all her stuff and get her papers in order to move out. Rakal parked the car and put her stuff in the car with Fink's help, leaving the studio the way she left it.

Luckily, the landlady gave her deposit and most of her first month's rent back, giving her some spending money for Fink and her. She wondered if it was because Fink was there. The lady even gave Fink some fresh baked cookies. The power of cuteness is too powerful!

Fink lead Rakal to her favorite places. The gadget store, the candy store, an ice cream parlor on the corner, a video games/toy store, an arcade, and a little back alley pet store with strange animals. It was a lot of fun just looking around, but the two end up at the city park at the end. Rakal had bought Fink an ice cream cone and the two relax on a bench.

Rakal noticed Fink getting ice cream all over her face. Trying her best not to be noticed, she takes a quick picture and send it to Venomous without giving it a second thought. A few moments later, he responds: Glad to see you two are having fun. This made Rakal let out a giggle that Fink noticed as she ate the last of her ice cream.

"Why are you laughing?" She asked in a low growl. "At all that chocolate on your face. Come on, let's get you cleaned up." Rakal smiled and decided to carry Fink to the restroom. Fink growled, blushing a bit.

"Villains don't need to be clean." She grumbled as Rakal set her down. "Well, explain how Boss is so neat and tidy." Rakal said and damps a paper towel. Fink pouts and snatches the towel from Rakal. "I can do it myself." She griped. Rakal shrugs it off and turns away. "Guess I can wait outside while you do that." She starts to head out, but feels a little tug on her shirt. "Wait! Um... don't go." Fink said, a bit frustrated. Rakal looked at her and smiled. "I won't." She assured.

Professor Venomous looked at his watch after his holo meeting was done. "Well, that was faster than expected." He said and stood up to stretch. These meetings were such a bore and usually take forever. He looked at the picture Rakal sent to him and chuckled.

"Wonder if they're home now." He said and looked out to see a clear-view of his driveway, but didn't see a car. He checked the GPS signals on Fink and Rakal. They were still together... and still in the city. He wondered if he should text them or surprise them by dropping in.

He noticed Fink's signal was moving away from Rakal's. His eyes widen in concern. He quickly gives Rakal a call, trying to calm down. The phone continued to ring and ring and ring, then went to voicemail. He called again, but this time, getting an answer.

"Professor! I'm so sorry! Forgot I set my phone down for a second!" Rakal quickly apologized. Venomous looked at the signals to see they were together again and sighed in relief. "It's fine, my meeting just ended. Thought I could meet up with you two and we can do something together." He said, trying to sound calm, but he could still hear his heart beating.

"Ooh! Boss! Let's go to the movies!" He could hear Fink yell in the background. "Guess we're seeing a movie, if you're okay with it." Rakal said. "Hmmm..." Venomous pretends to think while quickly looking up movie times. "Alright, in that case, go ahead and come home. I think there's a scary movie out now that Fink will love." He said and immediately hear Fink cheer.

"Cool, we'll be on our way." Rakal giggled. "Drive safe." He said and hung up. Well, that calmed his nerves, but now that makes him think he needs a better way to keep tabs on Rakal. He decided to head down to the lab and whip something up real quick to solve this problem.

Fink was running to the car with excitement and Rakal close behind, trying to keep up. Fink tried to get into the driver seat, but Rakal picked her up and set her down to the back, putting on her seatbelt. "Come on! You're gonna be so slow!" She whined.

"I'll go as fast as I can without the police stopping me." Rakal said as she takes her seat. "But this thing flies!" Fink cried and Rakal looked back at her then looked at the dashboard and there it was, an AIR MODE button. She looked back at Fink. "Do you really know how to fly?" She asked. "It's easy! Let me drive!" Fink yelled. Rakal grabbed Fink and put her in the passenger seat.

"Well, it doesn't hurt to learn now." Rakal smirked and pressed the button. The car goes well over the city and Rakal grabs to wheel and starts to head home. "Hey, not bad for your first time." Fink said and looks out. "Honestly, the controls are really easy. Probably easier than using my powers to fly." Rakal grinned and sees the house up ahead.

She looks at the panel again and sees an AUTO LAND button. She pressed it just as she was above the driveway and the vehicle landed itself. "Easier to land too." She said to herself as Fink got out and ran inside. Rakal followed and saw Venomous coming out of a lab, giving Fink a hug.

"I take it you had fun?" Venomous asked. "Yeah! We went to all my favorite places, I beat Rakal in videos games, got to see a little dinosaur, we got ice cream, and Rakal flew home!" She pointed at Rakal at the last part. Rakal could feel the cold glare from Venomous, but Fink doesn't seem to notice. "She did a really good job!" Fink praised her, easing up Venomous some.

"Well, that's a relief." Venomous sighed and handed Fink to Rakal. "I'll be finished in a bit. Go ahead and get ready for the movies." He said and walked back into the lab. Rakal set Fink down and went over to the couch to slouch on it. "Oh man, I thought I was a goner there..." Rakal groaned and Fink laughed at her.

They waited for Venomous and once he was done, the three were off to the theaters to watch a scary movie together.
