"How was the trip?" He asks her and she grins as moments of the trip flashes through her eyes.

"Brielle!" Brielle jumped at her mother's shout and frowned quickly.

"Mama are you alright?"

"It's your mother Brielle" Trinity said in reference to Brielle's birth mother Olivia. Brielle's face paled at her mama's words and immediately stood up from the table. She stepped outside and kept the phone pressed to her ear.

"What do you mean ma? What happened?"

"She disappeared. No one has seen her in weeks nor heard from her."

"What—What are you doing here?" Brielle is beyond confused. She has seen or heard from her mother is literal months—more than a year actually.

Olivia steps out of the car and smiles at her daughter with tears in her eyes. "I'm sorry I wasn't here." She says before bringing Brielle into a hug.

Brielle could only stare at her shock as she hugs her back. Of course she has missed her mother, of course, but she's been gone for so long that Brielle almost pictured her dead.

Brielle Mae knocked on the dark red front door. She stepped back as she waited for a response. Standing outside of her birth mother's house, Brielle bit her lip nervously as she waited for her mother in hopes she would be there.

No response.

"Baby" Brielle turned around to see Tobias standing a few feet away from her. Tobias gave her a soft smile and opened his arms causing her to take in a shaky breath.

"Dad I-I don't know what to do. She just was talking to me. How can s-she just disappear" Brielle walked down the small porch steps and into her father's open arms. Hugging him, Brielle couldn't help the tears that ran down her cheeks.

"It's okay baby." Tobias rubs her back as he kisses her forehead lightly. "We will find her. I promise"
