(Story's kind of shit in my opinion but oh well)
"You're such a dick, you know."
Dallas chuckled to himself as he spoke to Matt, yet he got zero reply, he didn't feel sadness, or maybe he did, he wasn't sure what he felt.
He swung his head back as he took a big sip of his beer, his head gently hitting the mass behind him.
"It's beautiful, can't say I didn't expect such a thing from you."
He said, his comment lacking the light-hearted chuckle from before. Again Matt didn't reply, that's fine though, Dallas just continued to stare up at the sunset.
"I don't wanna leave"
He hummed, tapping his finger against the top of the empty beer bottle as he looked down into it.
"Don't get how you did."
A chuckle finally left him, but it was sad, like if he didn't laugh he'd cry, but it didn't make a difference, nothing changed, he was still crying and Matt was still silent.
He glanced over at his phone, he didn't read the time but he knew it was late, he sighed and began to stand up, his hands brushing past the cold, slightly frosted-over grass. Immediately he was reminded of how cold it was when an icy breeze ran past his red-tinted face.
He turned, glancing down at where he had been sitting, reading the words carved into the stone he was against, he walked over to it, getting onto one knee.
"I love you, I don't know why you left... I do, I do know why you left and I did nothing to help stop this."
Dallas began sobbing as he spoke, running his finger across the words "Matt Elias"
He rested on the gravestone, glancing over at his phone when it dinged, messages from Ethan appearing.
"It's been months Dallas, I know you miss him but you need to get home, I'm worried alright?"
A few minutes passed, and Dallas only moved when his phone dinged once again.
"You know Matt wouldn't want you catching a cold."
