"Listen, it might sound crazy, but I need you to be my fake date for my best friend's wedding."

Izuku found himself caught in a conundrum when he received the wedding invitation. His best friend's wedding was a momentous occasion, and he wanted to share in the joy and celebration. However, as a perpetual introvert with a limited dating history, he felt a pang of anxiety about attending such a momentous event alone.

Knowing how Katsuki could be, with his explosive personality and fiery temper, Izuku initially hesitated. But deep down, he also knew that Katsuki possessed unwavering loyalty and a fierce protective streak. There was an unspoken bond between them, forged through years of friendship and shared childhood memories. Izuku knew that, despite their differences, Katsuki would never let him down in times of need.

Izuku remembered all the times Katsuki had defended him from bullies, stood up for him when no one else would, and pushed him to become a stronger person. Beneath Katsuki's tough exterior, Izuku saw glimpses of vulnerability and a genuine concern for his well-being. He believed that Katsuki, despite his rough edges, could rise to the occasion and provide the support Izuku sought.

Katsuki's intense gaze fixated on Izuku, who stood before him in his cozy sweats. A furrow formed on his brow as conflicting thoughts swirled in his mind. He had agreed to be Izuku's fake date for the wedding, but now, uncertainty began to creep in, manifesting as a stubborn refusal within him.
With a mix of frustration and concern, Katsuki crossed his arms and firmly stated, "No way in hell am I going along with this ridiculous plan, Deku."

His voice carried an unmistakable tone of defiance, emphasizing his unwavering determination.
Izuku's expression faltered, a mix of disappointment and pleading evident in his eyes. He desperately tried to reason with Katsuki, explaining how important this wedding was to him and how he didn't want to feel out of place without a date. He hoped that their shared history and the bond they had built over the years would convince Katsuki to reconsider.

However, Katsuki remained resolute, unwilling to yield to Izuku's request. Deep down, he wrestled with his own insecurities and reservations. The idea of attending a formal event, dressed up and playing the role of a couple, felt foreign and uncomfortable to him. He prided himself on his independence, his refusal to conform to societal norms, and he wasn't about to compromise that for anyone or any occasion.

His gaze intensified, and with a hint of vulnerability, Katsuki continued, "Look, Deku, I get why you're asking, but this whole fake dating thing isn't my style. I won't pretend to be someone I'm not just to fit in at some fancy gathering. You should know that."

Izuku's shoulders slumped, acknowledging Katsuki's stance, but a flicker of determination ignited in his eyes. He knew Katsuki well enough to understand the walls he built around himself. However, he also believed that beneath the brash exterior, Katsuki had a heart of gold.

"I know it's not your style, Kacchan," Izuku replied softly, using the nickname from their childhood. "But sometimes, we have to step out of our comfort zones for the people we care about. I wouldn't ask if I didn't believe you could do it."

Katsuki's gaze wavered, the initial defiance gradually giving way to a mixture of contemplation and a hint of vulnerability. He had always been fiercely protective of Izuku, and the thought of being there for him, even if it meant stepping into unfamiliar territory, tugged at his heartstrings.

After a moment of silence, Katsuki let out an exasperated sigh, his shoulders sagging ever so slightly. "Fine, damn it. I'll do it, but only for you, Deku. Don't you dare regret this."
