Izuku opened a cold beer and sat down on his sofa, feeling the weight of the day on his shoulders. Katsuki was already sitting there, staring at the TV without really watching it. Izuku handed him a beer, and they sat in silence for a few moments.
It had been a long day, filled with unexpected events. The wedding had been ruined, and now they were back in Izuku's apartment, trying to process everything that had happened.
Izuku took a long sip of his beer and sighed. "I can't believe it," he said. "I thought they were so happy together."
Katsuki took a swig of his beer and let out a bitter laugh. "Yeah, well, apparently not. People aren't always what they seem."
They both lapsed back into silence, staring at the TV without really watching it. Izuku couldn't help but think about how things could have been different if they had just stayed home and watched TV instead of going to the wedding.
But it was too late for that now. All they could do was sit there and try to make sense of what had happened.
After a few minutes, Katsuki spoke up. "You know what we need?"
Izuku looked over at him. "What?"
After a few moments of awkward silence, Katsuki stood up and walked over to Izuku. He reached out a hand and pulled him up from the couch.
"Come on, nerd. Let's dance," Katsuki said with a small smile.
Izuku looked a bit surprised but didn't hesitate to take Katsuki's hand. He followed him to the living room, where Katsuki turned on some music. The song was Sway by Michael Bublé.
As they started swaying to the beat, Katsuki wrapped his arms around Izuku's waist, pulling him closer. Izuku rested his head on Katsuki's shoulder and closed his eyes, enjoying the moment.
"You know, this is what couples do," Katsuki said softly, running a hand through Izuku's hair.
Izuku opened his eyes and looked up at Katsuki, a small smile on his lips. "I know," he replied.
They continued dancing in silence, enjoying the closeness and the peacefulness of the moment. It felt good to just be there, with each other, without any drama or interruptions.
Izuku stumbled a bit at first, not used to dancing, but Katsuki held onto him tightly and guided him through the steps. As they swayed to the rhythm of the music, Katsuki pulled Izuku closer, wrapping his arms around his waist. Izuku could feel his heart racing as he gazed up at Katsuki, their faces only inches apart.
Suddenly, Katsuki spun Izuku around, making him laugh out loud in surprise. As they continued to dance, Izuku couldn't help but feel a sense of happiness and contentment wash over him. Despite the chaos of the night, he was glad to be there with Katsuki, enjoying a simple moment together.
As the song came to an end, Katsuki dipped Izuku down, holding him there for a few seconds before pulling him back up. Izuku's face was flushed, and he couldn't help but smile at Katsuki's playful demeanor. "That was nice," Izuku said, catching his breath.
Katsuki grinned at him. "Yeah, it was. Maybe we should do it more often," he said, taking Izuku's hand and leading him back to the couch.
