Hunter's POV:
"AAAHHH- WILLOW TELL MY STORY!"
Darius shut the door, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Little Prince, I worry for you. It is extremely unhealthy to be wearing a binder for this long, and I know you forgot to take it off last night. I was doing the laundry when I noticed it wasn't in the pile of dirty clothes on your bedroom floor." I pursed my lips, responding with a shoulder shrug.
Darius left the room, and that's when I got a (not so) great idea. I took off my shirt and binder, instead putting on a baggy hoodie I found in the closet. I jogged back downstairs (again), and sat back down next to Willow (again). Darius poked his head around the corner from upstairs, and I gave him a toothy smile and a thumbs up. He smiled, going back to whatever he was doing.
"No, seriously. What are you two doing?" Willow crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow. (un)Luckily, I quickly thought of a (terrible) response. "I was cold." I replied, gesturing to the oversized hoodie draped over my lanky form. Willow looked at me as if she wanted to say something, but didn't ask about it.
"Mhm. So," She yawned, looking out the window and stretching. "I think I'm gonna head home, see ya later, Caleb." At this point, I had almost forgotten about the funny little nicknames, so it caught me off guard. "Heheh, until we meet again, Captain." And with that, she walked out the door, closing it behind her.

btw, JESUS CHRIST- I JUST SPLIT UP A SINGLE DAY INTO LIKE THREE AND A HALF CHAPTERS
I woke up early, throwing on my binder and some clothes Darius somehow got me, and slicked my hair back as usual. I sighed as I looked in the mirror, examining the notch in my ear. You got this, Hunter. You can face Belos, and you will help take him down.
Darius had told me the plans the night before, and reassured me that I'd be fine. I watched the crystal ball in my room to keep my mind off of it for a while, until there was a bang at the door. That's my signal. I turned off the crystal ball and ran downstairs, flinging open the door. I was met with Gus and Willow, and gave each of them a high five.
We hopped onto Darius' airship, and were dropped off at the meeting spot. I gave Darius a quick hug and a wave before he took off. We waited for longer than expected, Gus helping me memorize our "secret handshake" in the meantime. We heard footsteps in the distance which were supposed to be Luz's, but we didn't want to take chances.
All three of us ducked down into the woods, before recognizing the sound of the human's voice. We greeted her, definitely taking her by surprise, talked a bit, showed her me and Gus' secret handshake, and the plan begun.

(timeskip to basically the end of the episode cuz i'm hella lazy)
"KING!" Luz shouted into the portal just as we were shoved through it, and into the human realm. She opened and closed the door a few times in an attempt to reopen the portal, but nothing happened. She turned back to face us, all the light drained from her eyes, and tears threatening to fall. That's when I knew we weren't coming back anytime soon.
The sound of heavy rain echoed throughout the dark night, and Luz slowly started walking somewhere. I assumed she wanted us to follow, so I helped Gus to his feet. I made sure Flapjack was still okay, and I gave him a gentle kiss on the forehead before putting him back into hiding. We walked up to a house, which I assumed was Luz's and she knocked on the door.
Not long after, a taller woman, not looking much different from Luz appeared at the door and gasped in surprise. "Hi Mom." was all Luz said before we were all welcomed inside, and Luz was greeted in a shower of hugs and kisses. "Oh, Luz! I can't believe you're safe! ¡Gracias a Dios que no estás muerto!" [Thank God you're not dead!]
I pulled Flap back out, and watched him ruffle his feathers, beginning to preen himself perched on my finger. I began to look around, immediately seeing something that definitely does not belong in the human realm. I jumped back, startling Flapjack enough for him to turn into a staff. "HUMAN WHY IS THERE A BASILISK IN YOUR HOUSE?!" My voice cracked, but I hoped no one noticed. The creature paid me no attention and continued eating.
Luz only sighed, resting a hand on my shoulder. "This is Vee, she ran away from the maniac which is now a sad puddle of green goo on the skull of the Titan. The Basilisk spat out her soup, coughing slightly. "WHAT?" Aaand that was when we all got bandaged up, and told them everything.
Luz told us where to sleep, and handed some of us "sleeping bags". I walked down into Luz's basement, followed by Gus, and set up my makeshift bed on the floor next to the couch. Me and Gus talked a bit, Ms. Noceda came down and greeted us, and Gus fell asleep shortly afterwards.
I just stared at the ceiling, barely visible in the dark room, and rested my hands on my chest. It's gonna be difficult to keep a secret that I have to take off when I sleep. I sighed, rolling over and crying myself to sleep.
