Hunter's POV:
"WHAT?!" I shouted in surprise. Darius finally cracked and busted out laughing, clutching his stomach as he did so.
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" I shouted much louder than I should have, probably earning a visit from the emperor later. Unfortunately, at the moment I was so engulfed in surprise, anger, and flush, that I didn't think once about it.
"HAHAH- YOUR- HEHAHHAHAH RAINE LOOK- BAHAHHA LOOK AT HIS FACEEAHAHAHAH!!" Darius could barely speak a proper sentence in between laughs.
Raine bursted out into laughter once again, and I ran to the bathroom to see what they were laughing about. Red. Very red. My entire face had been smothered in a furious blush.
I ran back into my room, tossing my scroll across the room, and drowning my face in my pillow. I screamed into my pillow, squeezing it tightly as I did so.
"Bing!"
A notification rang throughout the now quiet room.
"Bing!"
And another.
...
"Bing!"
And another.
"Uhgg what do you want??" I groaned as I get up off my bed to grab my scroll.

I looked outside to see steaming raindrops fall from the sky. It was actually quite beautiful, and I wondered if the rains in the human realm looked this pretty.

Her face then appeared on my screen. She had already gotten changed into her comfy at home clothes, and her hair was up in a messy bun.
She's pretty.
"How are you, Hunter?" Her voice rung throughout the room, sweet like honey.
"Hehe, I'm good. What about you?" I replied in a somewhat quiet tone, my voice a little raspy from screaming.
"I'm kinda tired, glad we didn't go to school today." She let out a quiet giggle in between sentences. "But Hunter, your voice sounds a little raspy, you sure you're okay?" A tone of concern laced her voice with every word, making me feel guilty just for making her worry.
"Yeah, Yeah, I'm fine. I was just screaming into my pillow before you asked to call." I was bad at lying, and I knew she would catch it. So I didn't even try.
"Oh, why is that?" She cocked her head to the side, still showing a look of worry.
"Oh, hehe. Darius was being really embarrassing." I scratched at an itch on the back of my neck, which probably formed out of awkwardness.
"Yeah, my dads can be embarrassing at times too." Willow laughed, smiling as she did so.
"Wait- dads? As in you have more than one dad?" I questioned her, never hearing anything bout that from my uncle.
"Oh yeah. I guess I never told you.. You don't think it's weird right?" I could tell she forced an awkward smile at the end of her sentence.
"No no! Of course not! I never heard much about love from Belos, but Darius had told me once that people can love whoever they want. I've never been in love myself, but I've heard it's nice. Congrats." I gave a toothy smile, before remembering the gap in my teeth and snapping my lips shut.
Apparently, Willow noticed though. "Aw, Hunter you don't need to hide your tooth gap. Even if you don't like it, it's a part of you. And everyone is perfect and unique in their own ways." She ended the sentence with a huge smile, and a heart she made with her hands.
As I processed what she had just said, a faint blush grew on my face, and tears stung the corners of my eyes. But just as quick as they came, they went again as my door was swung open. Unsure of who it was, I hid my scroll under me, squeezed into a tight ball, and held my eyes shut.
"Oh- Hunter I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." Thank the Titan, it was just Darius. "I made you sandwiches, lover boy." I coughed.
"LOVER BOY?? EXCUSE ME?! Uhg. You already embarrassed me once, no need to do it again." I pulled the scroll out from under me, facing Willow again. "Uhm, do you want to stay on call while I eat?"
"Yeah! By the way, your face is pretty red." Willow snickered from the other end of the call, and as usual, Darius buts in at just at the right time.
"Ha! You should've seen his face earlier, when I told him you said you love him!" Darius walks back out of the room, and I can feel the heat from my face.
"DARIUS!!" I jump out of bed, running behind Darius as Willow continues to giggle and laugh on the other side of the scroll.

"Hunter can I ask a question?" Willow's soft voice rings throughout the call once again, causing me to smile. "Sure."
