Michael was ready to go into work today, he completely one hundred sure he was. But then he would be lying.
He was completely one hundred percent sure he wasn't ready to start this job. But it was too late to back out now. He needed to prove to everyone he can get and keep a job.
Michael drives the familiar route to hood times. He ran two red lights and almost hitting an old lady with a dog. His first day has been terrible and he hasn't even started his job yet, he feels like it's a sign. He parks his car grabbing his computer bag and marching into the office with confidence and determination.
The walks up to the front desk where the receptionist sits carelessly scrolling though her desk top. He repeatedly hits the bell like his last visit. The girl looks up form her computer with disgust in her eyes.
"Can I help you?" She asks bitterly. Michael smiles oblivious to the dirty glares. "Yeah, I'm new here, remembered you helped me last time, I'm Michael Clifford." He says holding his hand out for a handshake.
She eyes his hand in disgust. "Mr.Hood told me to send you to his office, so this is me sending you to his office." Completely ignoring Micheal's hand.
"Aw, don't leave me hanging." He says and the girl just shakes her head, Michael was interpreting her online shopping.
"C'mon.." He pauses looking at her name tag. "Hannah." He just wants this girl, Hannah, to shake his hand. It's starting to hurt from holding it out so long.
"If I shake your hand will you leave me alone?" She asks rolling her eyes. Michael nods, she lightly grabs his hand in a small handshake. Michael excitedly dances around the lobby. "I knew you would crack Hannah!" He says in a sing song voice.
"Please, call me Miss.Gene." She says rolling her eyes and going back to her desk top.
Michael nods. "Okay, Miss.Jean." He says before skipping into Mr.Hood's office. Mr.Hood looks up from hearing the door open.
"Michael." He smiles.
"Hey Mr.Hood." Michael says awkwardly.
"Please, sit." Mr.Hood says motioning to one if the seats in front of his desk. Michael walks over and sits.
"Hannah said you wanted to talk to me." Michael says.
Mr.Hood nods. "Yes, yes, I wanted to inform you that you did get a job, but not the job that you were interviewed for. I should have informed you about this when I called, but it slipped my mind."
"Okay, then what's my job." He asks, he doesn't mind he didn't get the job he interviewed for, just as long as he got a job.
"You are gonna be my assistant." Mr.Hood says. "Don't worry, it pays well and is fairly simple."
Michael nods. "That could be cool I guess."
"So is that a yes still?" Mr.Hood asks raising an eyebrow and Michael nods.
"Great!" Mr.Hood says clapping his hands together. "This will be your desk." He says pointing to a small table that's against Mr.Hood's actual desk. Michael walks over to it sitting down.
"I'll have Calum come over tomorrow and you show you around, for today just relax.
