It's been exactly 72 hours since I received my offer letter to stay on as a full-time employee with the Philadelphia Pristine Law Group. And that means I have a little less than a week to make a decision.

But I can't make the final decision knowing it won't just impact my life. If I accept, it'll effect Spencer's life as well.

For the past three years, all we've talked about was how I would work in whatever city he got drafted to.

But much of that was before I interned at Pristine. So I couldn't predict the gratification I get when I walk through those, law firm, doors in search of justice for the unjust. It's everything I've wanted, and more, since the passing of Nico.

"This lingerie will have Spencer so dazed, he won't remember what you're saying to him," Kia suggest as she puts the final touches on my makeup.

"I'm not trying to avoid the conversation. I just really want to have a great night before we have to have the tough conversations." I say sincerely.

"Maybe so, but it's the power of the "P" for me," Kia jokes and I roll my eyes playfully.

"He's still pissed at me for not telling him anything over the phone a couple nights ago. So I don't know how far we'll get."

"When you tell him the truth, he'll understand why you chose not to speak over the phone. Some things are just better said in person." She says and I agree. "Besides, do you even know what you're going to do?"

"I know what I want to do," I admit and luckily she doesn't ask me to elaborate.

Since Spencer went to the league, Kia and I have lived off campus together, in a small apartment between the hospital where she works and the law firm where I intern.

"I think I'm going to text my man and head out. Because judging by the look on your face, I don't want to be around when this conversation goes down." She mumbles and I take a deep breath. "Just know I'm yall biggest fan. So I'm hoping Spence can support whatever decision you choose to make."

"Me too," I respond as I check Spencer's location on my phone and my heart skips a beat when I see he's just around the corner.

"Perfect," Kia says as she steps back and admires her work.

"He's here!"

"I'll be at my boo thang's place. If you need me, hit me up!" She says sincerely and I nod before she walks out of my room. "I'll let him up!"

I take a deep breath before fixing a few roses on the bed and only stopping when I hear the stairs creak.

Seconds later, Spencer walks in and I follow his eyes to the candles, rose petals, and body oils that lead to the bed before he looks at me and gives a light smile.
