LEO'S POV

God... God, I was worried about Rylie.

She was still in the building... And every time I look in the vent, I can't see her beautiful blonde hair...

Not like I'm given much of a chance to look though, since Super Fly is going on and on about his plan, and we're surrounded by mutants.

I have never felt so unsafe in my life.

I fidget awkwardly with my hands, my eyes occasionally darting to the vent in the side of the building.

Superfly, meanwhile, is walking toward Bernie's truck, a grin on his face.

He opens the back doors and stares at a weird antenna-looking device, a smirk slowly forming on his face, "Now that I got this... I can complete my device. And acceptance... Will be ourssssssssZZZZZ."

"Yeah!"
"Yes! Great!"
"Let's go!"

The mutants cheer in the background, while my brothers and I all flash each other worried looks, not knowing what to say in this situation.

It doesn't help that I see Rylie finally poking out of the vent, her camera pointed right at us.

'Shit. Shit. Shit.'

"So, wassup? You wanna roll with us?" Superfly grins, gesturing to the mutants and then the device in the van.

"Cause we can activate the machine tonight," He adds, making the mutants erupt into cheers as he laughs and grins.

"YAY, FILLET!" Ray cries, and my brothers and I once again share fearful looks.

TONIGHT.

ACTIVATE. THE MUTANT APOCALYPSE MACHINE. TONIGHT.

This means mutants rule the Earth- And bad stuff happens to humans...

Which means...

'Rylie, Rylie, Rylie, Rylie, Rylie...'

I look up at her again, anxiously fiddling with my still-sweaty hands.

"Are you stopping them now, or are you gonna make Rylie film you supplying an evil villain with the LAST PIECE of his HORRIBLE PUZZLE?" April asks sarcastically through the earpiece.

"Yeah, it definitely won't look good for your guys' image..." Rylie adds, which makes me fidget nervously as we watch Superfly and his goons fool around in the back.

"You're gonna stop him? You're gonna stop
Him," April continues talking, and Rylie adds, "Maybe one of you should give us a signal so we know you're gonna stop him... Cause standing like a bunch of dorks isn't helping."

I rub the back of my head, trying to quickly come up with a plan as I quietly stammer, "I-I... We're working on it...!"

Summoning up all of my courage, and the few brain cells I have, I approach Superfly and laugh awkwardly, stammering my way through a terrible plan, "Y-yo! Superfly! So what if we're actually, like-"
