Summer's ending

Chapter 2

Charlotte's POV
"Thanks again for the advice." I laugh nervously. "You're welcome, have a good summer Charlotte!" I smile politely and walk out quickly. I try putting my papers in my backpack but someone's hard chest hits me right in my face. "Ow!" "sorry." But when I look up i see this handsome blue-eyed man..who has a great set of muscles. I don't think I've seen him. I don't know . "It's fine." I quickly pick up my papers and wiggle my way out of the hallway.

"What took you so long?!" Lacey says annoyed. "Sorry, I got held up by Mr.Carol." "Oh.." I don't know why..but I think Lacey has a crush on Mr.carol. I mean he's very good looking..but I don't know what's going on in Lacey's head or her love life.She doesn't really talk about it. I never bothered asking her because it's none of my business. But we just start an conversation about something Else while dropping me off.

Bye girls see you tomorrow!" When i walk in I notice something strange.
"Something's weird." I look through all the rooms...but then someone jumps right on me it made me scream bloody murder. What's he doing here so early?

"DAD! Don't scare me like that you almost gave me a heart attack!" "Sorry ladybug." "It's fine. What'dya you doing here so early?" I say walking to the fridge. "Well the conference ended early so thought I would come home early and surprise my ladybug." I smile then hug him. I love my dad's hugs. It's so comfortable and it just makes me feel safe sometimes. "So where's the stepmonster?" "Don't call her that." " I was just kidding!" "You better be." "hey dad I'm still hanging out with Mckenzie and Lacey this summer right?" I say stuffing carrots in my mouth. "Oh um about that..." Oh no! "Karen and I both thought we could have a family vacation to Florida." I have this awful feeling in my stomach. I'm going to Florida with Karen? Not that I have any problems with her...I was just looking forward to spending time at the play house. It's not actually a playhouse it's a teenage hangout. Kids from school go there every night. This was going to be my second time being there but I guess not.

"But dad you said that I could hang out with my friends this summer."I try and convince him. "Well things change. And I think it'll be a great bonding experience for you and Karen."I had to think about it for a minute."Fine but you have to get me ra-" "rainbow cream from TCBY know." I smile. I'm glad my dad knows what I like and don't like.
"I'd better go tell the girls." I say with a sarcastic groan.
