Charlotte's POV
As Mckenzie and Layce leave I head downstairs for dinner. "Hey honeybee." "hi." "Did you start packing?" "No I didn't know we were leaving early." "Your dad didn't tell you? We're leaving tomorrow." I totally thought we were leaving on Monday morning. Not Saturday!"Oh...." "what's wrong?" "I thought we were leaving on Monday." "There was only one fl-" I ran up the stairs before she even got to finish her sentence. I plopped myself on my bed and grabbed my phone to text Mckenzie and Lacey.

Thank god they didn't answer my text. I didn't want to bring them down again I shouldn't have even sent the message. I started packing my bags for the trip. Then hopped into the shower real quick to wash my hair. After I put my pjs on,I put my hair in a side braid and headed downstairs for dinner.

"Hey." "Hi honeybee! ready for dinner?" She says as she places the plates on the table. I nod and help with the silverware. "I smell salmon!" My dad bursts in the kitchen making me and Karen jump. My dad can be a loudmouth sometimes. Karen and I both start laughing our butts off. It's nice having a mom again.

"Mind if I help?" "nope! It'd be a nice gift seeing you actually helping with something for once in your life." "Hey! I do things!" My dad sounded irritated for a minute. We all ended up laughing I didn't even feel myself drop on the floor. I still can't stop thinking about Mckenzie! And Lacey! oh god what am I gonna do? What am I gonna say?! I'll just figure it out later on tonight. Right now is family time and family time is when you forget everything that just happened and worry about what's going on right in front of you.
