Summer's ending

Chapter 5

Charlotte's P.O.V
As I wake up to the bright yellow sun, I hear my phone vibrate.
17 missed calls
9 new messages

They're all from Lacey. Most of them were from social media. Huh...I'm surprised she's even up that early. I hop out of bed and get in the shower.

When I was done I walked to my closet and started picking out a pick and blue stripped shirt with jeggings and my blue converse. I decided to wear my hair down so I just left it as it was. I'm actually surprised that my hair wasn't as bad this morning. I grab my bags and head Karen's black SUV to go ahead and put them in the trunk.
"Good morning." I see dad in his underwear eating a piece of toast. I laugh. "Aren't you supposed to get ready?" "Oh...right. Thanks ladybug!" He's so random sometimes.

When I was looking for Karen, I see that she's struggling with a curl on her hair that won't seem to go straight. I don't know why she won't leave her curls alone. I mean I would love to have that hair. My hair's just wavy. "Need help?" I say with my shoulder on the doorway. "Yes please I can't get this curl to get straight!" "Why can't you just leave it as it is? " "I don't know. I just don't like they way they are." I give her a small smile "well I would love to have your hair." "Lets switch!" I laugh at her.

A couple minutes pass."At last! No more curl." "Thank you! You are a lifesaver!" "Oh! What flavor?!" She laughs. "The red one!" She hugs me and heads upstairs I guess to check on dad. So I just let them be.

"Ok. You guys ready?" My dad says excited. Someone knocks on our door unexpectedly. I open the door and I was up for a huge surprise I didn't like it. "What are you doing here?!" I say angrily.
