[Name] groaned loudly, her eyes fluttered open as the curtains of her room allowed the light to shoot in, hitting her right in the face, she rolled around in her bed, burying her face in her pillow, wanting the sun to get out of her face.

She glanced at the time, seeing it was 9AM, on a Saturday morning. She yawned, getting up and stretching, knowing she had to get ready for band practice.

She walked to the bathroom, getting ready, brushing her teeth and taking a shower, choosing an outfit and putting her shoes on, doing her makeup, texting the band's group chat, saying she was on her way.

She smiled slightly at the sound of her cat meowing underneath her, feeling her cat, milo, rubbing himself up against her leg, purring.

"Hey, there." She giggled, giving him pets.

She made sure she was never late —- as the band's leader, she knew she couldn't be. She grabbed her guitar, slinging it on her shoulder and walking out, saying bye to her parents, milo following behind her, before leaving her, running towards his cat bed, sitting down in it and purring.

"Have a good practice, my love."

"Bye, mom. Bye dad. Bye milo."

She bent down to give milo a kiss, who purred loudly in response, before turning to her dad, in the living room.

Her dad grumbled a quick response, something along the lines of "mhm. Yeah. Sure.", too busy with the rugby match he was watching in the living room, he waved bye, not facing her, his eyes glued to the tv.

She laughed, rolling her eyes before she walked out, closing the door behind her and putting her headphones in, allowing loud rock music to fill her ears as she hopped on her bike, heading to band practice.

She hoped Gwen would come, she wanted to make sure she was okay. Even though Gwen didn't consider them friends, she did, she wanted to make sure Gwen was okay, she cared about her a lot.

Gwen stood in her bathroom, staring at herself in her mirror. She was late, yet again, she allowed her hand to raise up to her face, feeling around her face and pinching her cheeks.

"I look like shit."

She fixed her eyebrow piercing, allowing her short blonde hair to fall down her face, doing her usual light grunge makeup, eyeliner on her waterline and mascara, getting changed.

She wore a blue off the shoulder sweater, the sleeves baggy with black denim shorts, tights underneath, her blue muddy, worn out converse shoes, tying the laces around the ankle, not wanting them to come undone.

She grabbed her tote-bag, shoving her spidersuit inside, she headed out her room, before she paused, remembering last night.

She felt a bit awkward speaking to her dad after last night, the conversation they said between her locked bedroom door, not a conversation— she didn't even speak back, him speaking to himself, her pretending to be asleep. She turned the other way, walking towards her window, opening it up, she looked down, at the fire escape stairs by her window.
