The sounds of Gwen hitting her drums echoed through the apartment, her anger grunts escaping her lips as she slammed her drumsticks down, her eyes shut.
She felt like such an idiot.
Crying in front of [name]...
She clenched her hands onto her drumsticks, before she let out a cry of pain, letting go and allowing them to fall to the floor, looking down at her hands, breathing heavily.
They were bloody and cut up, the skin around her nails picked off, red from how hard she was clenching onto her drumsticks. She let out a moan of pain, before walking to the bathroom, washing the blood off.
"S-shit." She whispered in pain.
"Gwen. You're gonna be late for school." Her dad knocked on the door, wanting her to get ready to leave.
She looked at her hand, the blood washed off, the cuts and bruises all over them, red. She frowned, seeing the slight bruises on her knuckles from the fight, she looked up at herself, her black eye gone with her other injuries —- it was getting better.
But she definitely wasn't.
She was getting worse.
She was hurting herself —- she wanted to hurt. She hadn't hurt herself in a while, being clean for the past few days with [name], but now everything had gone downhill and she didn't know how. Or why.
She glanced at the scissors and blade on the counter in the bathroom, quickly shaking her head and looking away.
She promised
She left the bathroom in a hurry, breathing heavily slightly as she slammed the door.
It was getting worse
"Gwen" her dad spoke up, sat at the table with a cup of coffee in hand, taking a sip, she looked over, trying to calm herself down.
"Y — yeah?"
"You okay?"
"I'm fine."
She walked to her room, grabbing her backpack, getting ready to head to school. She was already dressed, in her white button up shirt with the schools logo, wearing trousers instead of a long itchy skirt, with her usual muddy worn out converses, studded and spiked bracelets on her wrists, her blonde hair down.
She walked past him, wanting to go to school, not wanting to have yet another awkward conversation with him, especially after skipping with [name]. He didn't know anything, he was just mad about the fight.
"Gwen. Let me drive you to school." She heard her dad's deep voice, his footsteps getting closer as he walked up behind her, grabbing his coat.
"There's no need. I can walk." She grumbled, narrowing her eyebrows.
"Gwen."
