'MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING'

"No, you absolute cretin!" Nia hollered down the phone. "What part of no seafood don't you understand?!"
She could barely register the droning from the catering company on the other end of the line before she was yelling again.
"Yes, I am aware that we initially ordered lobster cocktail," she seethed, "but that order was changed two weeks ago to pastry pinwheels, which if you checked your records you'd see- what? No, I will not hold! Get me your manager this instant you incompetent slug!"
"Ni," came your calming voice from across the room. The hair stylist was currently twisting your hair into a bun while you sipped orange juice happily. "Calm down. Lobster is fine, if that's all they have. I changed my mind way too last minute anyway."
"Bitch, it's your wedding day, and I will get you these fucking pastry pinwheels if it's the last thing I do," Nia seethed, feeling like she might break the phone if she squeezed it any harder.
You just grinned up at her, oblivious to the potential hulking out she was about to do, the look of wedded bliss on your face already too sickening for Nia to bear.
It was ridiculous. You weren't even married yet.
Nia genuinely believed that she was put on this Earth to organise things. All her life she had been a leader, and so planning and running events came naturally to her. In another life, if she didn't love to dance so much, she would have been an events planner.
