Evening Picnic

Alhaitham's POV:
It's late afternoon and Kaveh is laying on my lap, sleeping. I really want to kiss him right now, he's so pretty when he's asleep. Oh, anyways, I think I'm going to plan a picnic for us this evening. I sat up straight, trying not to wake him up as I went into the kitchen.

I added a bunch of chopped fruit, knowing that Kaveh would eat it. I put in a bunch of snacks that me and Kaveh enjoyed. I thought of us on a hill, gazing at the sta- Oh uhmm, never mind. I put some mini sandwiches in, closing the basket and putting it on the floor next to the kitchen. Looks like I have to wake Kaveh now.

"Kaveh. Kaveh? Kaaaaavveh?" I repeated his name until he finally woke up, looking at me with his tired crimson eyes.

"Love? Are you okay? What happened?" Kaveh said.

"I'm fine, darling. I just wanted to ask you if you wanted to go on a picnic?"

"Well why even ask? Of course I do!" I kissed his forehead and picked him up, bringing him to our bedroom. I put him down on the bed and started getting ready. Kaveh soon stood up as well, walking towards a mirror and brushing his blonde hair. Once I thought he was done, I took hand and brought him to the front door.

"You can put on your shoes, darling. I'll go get the picnic basket." I said, my back facing him.

"Oh, okay."

Kaveh's POV:

I watched as Alhaitham brought a basket, probably filled with food. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this man. He always takes care of me, always listens to me, I- Anyways, he took his key and the two of us left, me following him. I held his hand and looked at him. We received many stares as we continued down, until a girl came up to us, looking at me weirdly.

"Hii! I'm Cassie!"

"Okay?" Alhaitham said, glaring at her.

"Oh hush, I wasn't talking to you. Anyways, you're Kaveh, the Kshahrewar representative, right?"

"Uhmm, yeah, what do you want?"

"I love, your hairpins, they're so pretty on your head! Also, they match your eyes." She said, ignoring my question.

"Uh thanks. Anything you need?"

"And your feather is really nice too!"

"Can you just tell me what you want?!" I said, covering my mouth immediately after. I didn't WANT to be rude to this girl, but she was getting really annoying. And she kept staring at me weird.

"Anyways, are you and the scribe, like friends?"

"Tell me why we'd be holding hands if the answer to that were yes." Alhaitham interrupted.

"Yeah, he's my boyfriend."

"Oh, well that doesn't matter." The girl said. Before she could say another word, I kissed Alhaitham's cheek and pulled him away.

When I tell you that this girl just stood there, looking at me. I tried my hardest to stifle my laughter, until I burst out laughing, looking at her annoyed face. Finally, she tuned around, walking weirdly back to wherever she came from.

Alhaitham's POV:

I know that girl likes Kaveh. I know he wouldn't leave me for her, but I still couldn't help but be a bit jealous. I brought Kaveh to our picnic location and he looked around in awe at the grassy field.

"Haitham, how'd you find this place?"

"I was walking back from the Akademyia one day and stumbled upon it. I remembered about it earlier and decided to take you here."

"Aww, you're so sweet, Love."

"I mean, it's nothing, really." I stared at him, seeing him act like a little kid was so adorable, I couldn't help but smile.

"Why are you smiling at me? Are you mocking me?!"

"Huh? Oh uh, no." I said, scratching the back of my head.

Kaveh looked so happy to be here, and I'm glad I could make a good use of our time. I took this time to lay down a blanket and set up the picnic.

Nobody's POV:

The couple sat on the blanket, eating the food that Alhaitham prepared. Once they were done, they sat down on the blanket, looking up at the sky as the sun began to set.

"Thank you so much for today, Love." Kaveh said, looking at the other.

"It's nothing. I love you so much, darling."

"Aww, I love you too, Haitham." Kaveh said, leaning in to kiss his boyfriend.
