To describe this world would be a simple feat at first.

Hallways upon hallways upon endless open nothingness for miles and beyond where the eye or the mind can begin to comprehend.

But it's existence... not quite as easy to determine.

What appeared relatively mundane and typical as regards to human design soon faded as when one realizes— there is no end...

It was quiet. Lifeless. Doomed to exist with no rhyme or reason.
No doors to lead an escape or windows to view the outside world.

It was its own world trapped between walls.
A dreamscape imagined by no one.
With its striped, yellow floral patterned wallpaper, that seemed burnt into the walls.
Baked in by the everglowing fluorescent lights that hung above like molten rods of iron that ever so flickered.
Never to run out of power.
Never to decay too soon.

There was a strange haze in the air that blurred away the texture on the walls and distorted the visibility of the sinking carpet floors below.
Not even the highest prescription glasses could take away the fog in the air.
It was like the static of a bad tv signal.
Devoid of everything that brought it into existence in the first place.
Humanity?

Yet, in spite of this world's destiny of inhumanity and possible nonexistence—
The muffled ambiance was soon
to be shattered...
