CHAPTER THIRTEEN
Not So Happy Birthday

"Yeah, I like this length it's really cute." Seilena smiled as she ran her fingers through Benny's hair. She always wondered how the hell a vampire's hair still grew and constantly changed if they were technically dead. It'll probably always puzzle her.

"Really?" He asked with a smile staring at her while she messed around. Benny held onto her legs that rested on his lap and waited for her to answer. The boy wasn't sure if he should go shorter or just let it get long again. "Mhm" she hummed in agreement.

It was Bella's surprise party at the Cullen's house. Leo and Kota were cuddled up on the opposite end of the couch, Melanie was sitting on a loveseat texting Jacob, and everyone else was scattered around waiting for the party to begin as some music played in the background.

Seilena didn't know how it would go. After all, Bella seemed a little down all day. Sensitive to things that normally wouldn't phase her relating to age or aging in general. Though lena couldn't blame Bella. After all, if she herself wasn't some supernatural being and her man was she'd probably worry about their future and aging as well.

The reaper girl hoped everything went well after what happened with that jackass— sorry his name was James.

Lena was glad he wasn't a threat anymore. Besides the guy was dead and his soul was handled by her family. Victoria and Laurent were still alive but who gave a damn about them? It's not like they were gonna be a problem, right?

Soon Bella was brought down by Alice with Edward following close behind. He definitely was more.. protective  to say it nicely after the incident. Bella was honestly surprised. She knew that something fishy was going on however she never seemed to connect it to her birthday. Not to mention even Rosalie was here though it seemed like the vampire girl hated her. 

"Happy birthday, Bella." Esme hugged the brunette. "Thanks" She replied, giving a small awkward smile.

"I thought there wasn't anything planned for today?" Bella questioned as she was drawn into the shared embrace of Benny and Seilena. Which oddly gave Seilena a motherly sensation. "Well, it is your 18th! And you're technically older than Edward at least in human years" Benjamin teased.

Alice took a picture of them making Bella turn around. "I found it in your bag. You mind?" Alice asked.

Kota muttered a sorry to Bella giving her a sheepish look. One could assume that she was present when Alice took the camera. Bella shrugged shaking her head. Her dad gave her that camera this morning and she was happy to see it being used now. She could feel the burden of filling up the photo album that her mother got her lessen.

"Dating an older woman. Hot" Emmett smirked gaining a sigh and shake of the head from Edward. "You are so weird, bro" Benny shook his head, feeling pity for Rosalie who honestly just ignores what her man says half of the time.
