Soap lets his biggest secret slip
3rd person PoV:
Soap is at his desk doing some quick paperwork when Ghost walks in, he was expected but soap still looked up happily.
"You wanted to see me Sergeant?" Ghost asked, closing the office door behind him. He had just finished training plus a couple of sparring matches, so he was sweaty and his breathing was heavy.
"Ah, yes I did. Could you share your coffee preferences with me? I do coffee runs every once and a while and wanted to make sure I got your preferred beverage." Soap set his pen down next to his work with a smile.
"Black coffee with two creams." Ghost crossed his arms and tapped his fingers while looking around the room. Something bright on the corner of Soap's desk caught Ghost's eye.
"What's with the flag Soap?"
Soap looked at the corner of his desk, forgetting he had a little rainbow flag in his pencil holder. The Scot let out a slight chuckle.
"Ah, well it is June you know, gotta support my community." A warm smile spread across Soap's face and he looked at Ghost.
"Wait, your community?"
Soap froze, he can't believe how hard he had just fucked up. His leg began to bounce anxiously under his desk.
"I- uhm... I mean... shit." Soap covers his face with his hands and sighs loudly. "This wasn't supposed to happen."
It takes a short moment for Ghost to process this, but once he did, his arms fell to his sides and his lips parted slightly under his mask.
"Are you gay, Sergeant?"
"What? Haha... no..." Soap was panicked. He knew there was no way out of this. His leg was bouncing and a bead of sweat rolled down his forehead.
"Soap, don't lie to me." Ghost stepped forward and leaned on the smaller man's desk.
"Damn it. Fine, I'm bisexual. Is that what you really wanted to hear?" Soap leaned back on his chair and sighed loudly.
"I... had no idea... sorry if this seems rude." Ghost apologized under his breath and turned to leave, although he stopped when Soap called out.
"Lieutenant. Please, don't tell anyone. That last thing I need is to be pushed around." With desperate eyes, Soap looked at Ghost.
"Please."
"Don't worry Johnny boy, I won't tell a soul." Ghost nodded and exited the room.
