Gossip girlThere's plenty of upside to being the spawn of the fabulously wealthy. But the downside? Super successful parents except nothing less from their offspring. And when it comes to college, that means the Ivies. It's more than just getting into college. It's setting a course for the rest of your life. And for those few who aren't legacies, the pressures are no less. When parents have sacrificed for their children's futures what kid would wanna let them down?
I'm just arriving at school and I see Chuck and Nate stood near the entrance. Chuck smirks at me and Nate turns to see what his friend is looking at. When he sees me he briefly smiles but then goes back to talking to Chuck. I so want to go and give Nate a huge hug right now but I know that Blair is just across the yard watching Nate out of the corner of her eye like a hawk. The bell then rings and we all separate into boys and girls to enter through our respective entrances. We hurried our way into the hall for an assembly and sit patiently as some girls from the choir singing "Glamorous" at the front of the assembly hall. "Thank you ladies." The headmistress of Constance and the headmaster of St Jude's make their way onto the stage as the girls file off and make their way to seats at the front. "Good morning, students. I ask all of you to show a little sympathy for our junior class. They are almost through with Ivy week." The headmistress starts. "As is our long-standing tradition the Constance Billard girls will be in charge of Friday night's mixer and the St Jude's boys will provide ushers for the visiting representatives." The headmaster continues. "For those of you who dream of attending an Ivy League school this mixer is the most important event of your life." The headmistress tells us. "But no pressure." The headmaster jokes as they both chuckle.
They both keep on talking but I begin to zone out. I'm not sure what my options are for college and even if I was going to be going. Willow makes things difficult because I can't really leave her and I'm not sure she will be able to come with me. I'm still going to attend the mixer tonight and introduce myself to some representatives. After the assembly finishes we are all dismissed and I see Serena running up the stairs and begin to talk with Dan. After Dan walks away, Blair goes up to her and I walk over to join them. "Oh, too bad you missed the assembly. Not that it matters. Brown doesn't offer degrees for lying." She says to Serena as I roll my eyes at her. "Oh and I'm not sure colleges offer a course on how to be a great teen mom either." Blair pouts at me and I feel my rage bubbling inside of me.
Gossip Girl
Spotted: S not-so-fashionably late and dressed down by B. Also E Looks as if she could throw a punch, perfectly aimed at Blairs face. Game on ladies.
For PE we are outside playing field hockey and I'm on Serena's team. The referee blows the whistle and we start weaving between people and dodging hockey sticks trying to intercept the ball. Me and Blair get very close as I nudge her away from the ball, "Look, I made a mistake with Nate. But you can't stop him seeing his daughter. We don't have to be friends, but-." I feel my ankle being whacked from behind as I stumble over and the whistle is blown. I throw my stick down in frustration and whip my head round to face Blair. "What's up, Waldorf?" The reff asks. "Sorry, slipped." Blair gives me a sarcastic smile as I scowl at her. "I'm fine." I say picking back up my stick to continue the game as the whistle blows again. "I really wanna believe that was an accident." I say to her brushing past her shoulder. "Then you must be delusional." Blair laughs. We carry on playing until Blair barges into me and the referee holds up a green card and blows the whistle. "Thank you." I roll my eyes as I thank the reff. Again we carry on and a few minutes later Blair pushes me to the floor and I land on my face. The referee blows the whistle once again, "I'm running out of colours here, Blair." He seems fed up with her nonsense, honestly me too. I stand up and dust off my legs, "And I'm running out of patience. Enough, okay?" I get really close to her face. "It's enough when I say it's enough." Blair walks away and the game continues. I see my perfect opportunity so I charge at Blair and end up on top of her on the floor. The referee blows the whistle and shouts, "Girls, break it up." "Get off of me!" Blair yells as I pin down her arms next to her head. "Is that enough yet?" I question as I throw her arms down and I get up turning away from her. She gets up and we turn to face each other. "So we've actually come to physically blows, huh?" I ask her, "Truce?" "Owwww! My leg!" Blair clutches her leg as she pretends that I hurt her. The coach turns to me, "Evangeline, you're out of here." Kati and is run over to help Blair. "I hope it's broken." I comment sarcastically as I go over to Serena rolling my eyes.
