Gossip GirlHey, Upper East Siders.
It's Christmas in New York and along with the season comes the Constance Billard- St. Jude's Bazaar where the only thing bizarre are the donated items for sale."Look at this Willow. It's a little bunny rabbit." I say picking up a soft teddy rabbit and bopping Willow on the nose with it. "How much for the bunny?" I ask the seller. "3 dollars." She replies. "Thanks I'll buy that then." I say handing her the 3 dollars and giving the bunny to Willow to hold. This is the first time that I have brought Willow into school so I have teachers and other students coming over to say hello and ask me about her. Many of them didn't know I had a child so it's always a little bit awkward trying to explain how I'm a teen parent. After walking around for a little bit more Serena grabs onto my arm and drags me with her and Blair to the gate. "Loving the giant candy canes Blair." I comment noticing the sweet treats she is clutching in her hand. "Thanks, they are for me and my dad who is visiting from Paris." She explains. "So, it's gonna be a real Waldorf Christmas?" Serena questions. "Well, a real Waldorf Christmas Eve. Eleanor drew the line at Christmas Day. That's only for me, her and Dorota." She clarifies. "Well, you'll still have a couple days with your dad." Serena assures her. "Oh, it'll be more than just a couple days. I'm gonna convince him to stay in New York." Blair reveals her plan. "What about Paris and Roman?" I question. "Roman is a phase. My father belongs here with me. He only left New York to ride out the scandal." Blair seems pretty confident in what she is saying so me and Serena just nod in agreement. Serena then hails a taxi. "Time to come home don't you think? Hey, did you want to ask me something?" Blair asks Serena. "Oh, yes, both of you, about a gift for Dan now that Vanessa got him the most thoughtful, Dan-like present ever." Serena explains. "Why don't you buy him a new outfit for Cedric and call it a day?" Blair suggests jokingly. I think. "Thank you for being totally not helpful at all." Serena says as Blair shrugs before getting into her taxi. "See you tomorrow." Me and Serena both wave goodbye. "Bye." Blair returns. "You got any ideas?" She turns to me. "Umm..." I start, "Well, what does Dan really like?" I ask her. "Writing? Maybe I could get him a personalised pen." She thinks. "No, he likes you, silly." I explain to her. "You are so right. I think I have an idea, thanks." She says as she throws her arms around my neck and pulls me in for a hug.
"A watch?!" Serena has just returned from giving Dan his gift that she picked out. "I thought it was a good gift." She sighs. "Well, what did he say?" I ask her. "He said he couldn't accept it. That it was too expensive. So, we set a limit on how much money we spend." She explains. "That's good. So do you have any ideas?" I question. But, then Serena gets a message. "Oh, it's from Blair. She needs my help for something. We will resume this conversation later." She tells me as she grabs her stuff and leaves my room.
"Come on baby." I say in a baby-talk voice whilst shaking one Willows toys as I'm trying to get her to crawl. She gets into the crawling position and then puts one hand forward. "You can do it." I encourage her. But, she just sits back up and starts giggling at me. I sigh and smile at her. Just then I feel my phone buzz as someone is calling me. I look at the contact. "Oh, it's your dad." I say to willow. I answer the call, "Hey Nate, what's up?" "I was just wondering if you had time to hang out today. I would love to see you and Willow." He replies. "Oh, yeah. That sounds great. Would you like to go and get a hot chocolate?" I suggest. "Yeah. I'll meet you at our usual cafe." He confirms. "Alright, I'll see you in a bit. Bye." I say. "Bye." He said before ending the call. So, I got Willow ready to go out and put her in her stroller before heading to our usual cafe which is just down the street from The Palace Hotel. I go inside and see Nate waiting at a table in the corner and he waves as he notices me walk through the door. I walk over to the table and he stands up to greet me with a hug before kneeling down to kiss Willow on the forehead. "How are you?" He asks me with a smile as we both sit down at the table. "I really good actually. Everything is perfect right now." I reply with a large grin on my face. I'm so grateful for the people that I have around me and for how my life is going on. "Good, and Willow?" He continues. "Oh, she's perfect as always. I was trying to get her to crawl this morning but no luck so far." I tell him, "how's things with your family?" I ask him. He sighs, "There alright. Dad is out of hospital now and hopefully he's not taking drugs anymore but mom is still pretending that everything is fine." I smile at him sympathetically, "I know it's hard but it will just take time. Everything will work out eventually." I assure him as I reach across the table and place my hand on his arm in attempts to comfort him. "I really hope so." He looks into my eyes and smiles sadly. I get lost in his piercing blue eyes as we stare into each other's souls. I feel like my eyes are transfixed to his and nothing could break this connection. But, I am pulled out of the trace by a loud buzz from my phone as I receive a notification. "Sorry." I apologise and look at my phone, "oh,it's Serena." I tell him as I read her message:
