A Random Noco story // Officially being re-continued

Why do I still live here

I take in a breath before I walk inside my house, only to realize my parents car's are gone. Well, guess I'm on my own for dinner. I let the air out of my lungs in a sigh of relief. I felt much better knowing I wouldn't have to eat my mom's meatloaf. It was nice that she cooked it, but it was awfully dry and tasted a lot like lotion (Wich I accidentally got in my mouth once. Don't ask).

I noticed a random van though, a kind of big, old looking one with a camouflage paint job. Was that... the Total Drama Brother's equipment vehicle? Ugh, Trent, Justin, and Harold must be here, they always drive that thing. I heard someone calling my name from the driveway.

"Yo, Cody! There you are buddy!" I twirl my body around. Trent. Harold pops up from behind the side of the house alone with Justin. Guess it won't be a sad night alone.

I invited them inside and they were basically pulled into the kitchen. I locked the door behind me, and checked my phone again. I decided to text Noah, since he was the only person I felt like talking to at the moment. Why? No clue.

Me: Urghs do you ever get interrupted by your 3 friends at the worst times? Cause that's what happening to me. Pls send help I'm going to pass out fom exhaustion 😭
Bookworm: Wow, you, not wanting to hang out with your friends? Are you even Cody?
Me: it's called "I've done nothing and talked to no-one exept my parents for the last few months," it's incurable 😞
Bookworm:  Can't help. But good luck to you, soldier.

I let out a groan as I stuff my phone back into my pocket and drag myself into the kitchen. I see Trent cooking something, and I guess it's poutine because that's all he cooks. It's an overated Canadian dish if you ask me. I hear a ping from Trent's phone and decided to go check it.

It was a text from Gwen, and it read "Trent, you were sup..." I just place it back down. I forgot him and Gwen decided to get back together. I used to think Gwen was hot, but realized she probably thought I was a less creepy Sierra and gave up on trying to get with her. My life's actually been chill since then.

Harold started blasting some random song and blabbing about Leshawna. Oh yeah! I checked my messages again, because I forgot to text her back about the party she wanted to throw for Harold, as a congratulations on moving out of his parents basement.

LaBOMBA: Boy you better respond to me
Me: Sorry, I was getting some food ha, yeah we can host it at my place, my mom's going to a huge court trial thing and my dad's probably gonna be busy with his work bud's
LaBOMBA: Alright, later Cody

I put my phone on the counter top and went back to the front door to get my not-so-hot chocolate and half finished muffin, which I devoured the second I grabbed hold of it. I got a great idea! I should put on a T.V marathon with tons of horror movies! That way I could hang out with my friends but make little conversation. Damn this was out of character for me, I'm probably super tired. Or it could be that- UGH WHY COULDN'T I GET HIM OUT OF MY HEAD, I JUST WANT TO NOT THINK OF HIM FOR 6 MINUTES, WAS THAT SO HARD!?!?

Just get the movies out and and visit this again later, I thought. I quickly ran into the storage room and nabbed every horror movie I could get my hands on. I also grabbed a few Halloween ones, I mean, it WAS going to be fall soon. And you can't beat Hocus Pocus, Halloween town, and Coraline (Wich I really liked). I grabbed a pretty good amount of stuff Tim Burton worked on, like Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, and Corpse Bride.

I placed my movies near the the Television in the parlor and rushed into the Kitchen. I don't know why horror movies since it was summer, but whatever.
