I sat at my table, silently watching my pudding and hoping with my entire soul that Nico simply thought he had seen another ghost. I was so focused on my dilemma that I almost didn't notice the hush that came over the cafeteria. Everyone was speaking in harsh whispers and I strained to hear what was being said.

"The Avengers are here!"

"What?! Why?"

"OMG! OMG! OMG!"

I had no idea who these 'Avengers' were, but frankly, I didn't care. I ignored them and continued my telepathic conversation with my pudding cup as I awaited the bell. That was when the whispering stopped.

I looked up to see what was happening and sank in my chair as I saw my personal cosplaying stalkers looking through the room. I continued to sink deeper in my chair, hoping to disappear or for Annabeth's old cap to conveniently appear in my hand. But it was no use.

I heard the footsteps come towards me.

I stood up, deciding to act just like this was any other day, and began walking away. I was hoping to get outside before anything happened since it was obvious they'd spotted me. But as I tossed the pudding to Mark, I felt two hands on each of my arms and one hand grab my hair. I glanced from side to side and noted Star-Spangled tights securing my left and the discolored Tin Man on my right. Leaving Male-Harley-Quinn-Wannabe at my hair since Labrat was standing in front of me with Legolas and the chick that, not that I thought about it, reminded me of Rachel, just older, with shorter hair, and a couple of guns instead of a blue-plastic hairbrush.

She was the one to speak first. "We are bringing you in to SHIELD for questioning. After we are done with our questions, you can come back and finish your education, kapeesh?"

They acted like it was so simple: oh, come with us, answer our questions, then you can come back and act like none of this happened! I scoffed. I wish. "Well, now I can't come back again. Too many questions. Thanks to you morons, I'll have to move schools." The bow guy looked like he wanted to say something but I cut him off. "It's not like I can come back a third time." I hissed and then groaned, my anger and frustration flaring. "Why did you have to come to ruin my one chance at a new life here? I have literally done NOTHING TO YOU PEOPLE!" I shouted in frustration. In the back of my mind, I registered the gasps in the cafeteria at my raised voice. I shrugged it off knowing that this was the first time I had shown any form of emotion in front of them, let alone talk this much.

"Look, Kid-" Flag Guy started.

"-Don't call me 'Kid'."

"...Look, we're sorry about this, but we have orders to bring you in." At that point, I realized there was a slight waver in his voice that I recognized as fear.

I lowered my voice slightly. "You know I could get free easily, right?" I asked threateningly.

They nodded.

"Come on, Kid, not in the Cafeteria." Bow Guy pleaded.

I squinted at him. "I have a name."

"And which one would you like us to use?" Metal Man snarked.

"Adam," I said. "Adam Smith."

Metal Man just wouldn't stop talking. "Are you sure you don't want us to call yo-" I shut him up by pulling my arms together, causing Flag Guy and Metal Man to crash into each other and inevitably knock the other out. I then spun around and kicked the Hammer Man in the balls. I guess his armor wasn't meant for that kind of protection because he dropped his hammer right there and crumpled to the ground in pain.

This is becoming a routine, I thought as I picked up the stupid hammer - again - and knocked him out. I dropped it on his chest for good measure after that.

At this point, I had to get moving as the whistle of arrows and darts began to pierce my ears. I tucked into a roll, coming up in front of Katniss Everdeen and Mystique(but without the powers), and knocked their heads together (they seemed like they knew each other pretty well; I doubted they'd mind).

Then I kicked Labrat into a wall, and he stood up all tall and green and angry, I jumped onto his shoulders and found his pressure point again, and the Grouch was snoozing and back in Labrat form in a matter of seconds.

I didn't spend any more time looking around. I pinpointed a window that had been shot out by both bullets and arrows and made my escape.
