"Nezha" a royal guard announced to the lotus prince

"yes?" Nezha questioned as he had been meditating and didn't like being interrupted

"I apologise to disturb you, but a child has appeared and is asking for you" the guard continued with urgency

(a child?) Nezah questioned internally

but he only knew one child

hurrying to his feet, he teleported outside where he saw the child

a familiar child

a child he babysat

the child that was currently crying and calling his name as celestials who were looking in confusion

why a demon child was looking for one of their mightiest warriors? they were thinking

"Red son?" Nezha asked with surprise

the child looked directly at Nezha, running to him with recognition

"Nezha!" Red son called, anyone who even tried to stop him wouldn't have gotten far as the little prince's body engulfed in fire

not as bad as his Samadhi Firebut but it still not pleasant to touch

Not that the fire ever bothered Nezha anyway

easily picking up the toddler as he was wrapped in his arms

"How did you get here?" Nezha began as he looked out for his mother, but sadly he couldn't, she was somewhat of an outcast since marrying the demon bull king so perhaps she was simply hiding

"allipoted" red son muttered with his baby talk

(so your powers allowed you to enter the celestial realm despite being a half demon) Nezha thought to himself, he had brought Red Son to the celestial realm a few times before, but knowing he could do it on his own was a new discovery

"ok, so I suppose your mother doesn't know you're here" Nezha muttered but Red Son heard

his joyful energy seemed to deplete, his happy face turning to one of sadness

" I don't see Mama" the child cried

Nezha didn't like that news one bit

"When did you last see her?" Nezha asked, hoping to pry more information from the child without upsetting him further

"I don't know....I miss Baba" Red son admitted as he pushed his face into Nezha's chest

Nezha couldn't imagine how brave the little prince was, being mature enough to seek help despite not knowing why the things around him were even happening

"it will be an ok red son" Nezha soothed

"how about you stay up here until your mama feels better? Nezha suggested

Red son didn't reply but simply held closer to the lotus prince, his energy depleting from the travel it seemed

not that Nezha cared

there would always be a room for red son
