ugh, as if!
Venus scrolls through Miguel's instagram, unsure of why she's doing it.
"Ooh, like that one." Maeve recommends.
"Love told me it's stupid to like a boy's old posts because he'll know you were stalking him," Venus shrugs.
"Seems like bullshit." Maeve likes it for her, just as Daniel walks in, "Dude. Knock."
"Oh, I was gonna ask if you were up for some karate in the dojo," Daniel suggests.
"No thanks." Venus and Maeve say in unison.
"You were..." Venus nods, "You were talking to Maeve, right."
"I'm good, Dad," Maeve says, "I'm busy. We're desperately trying to stalk a guy Venus likes."
"Shut up!" Venus exclaims.
"Is this the 'barely a friend' you were talking about?" Daniel jokes.
Venus shuts her eyes tightly, hoping that will make them both go away, but it does not.
"Probably," Maeve whispers, "He's cute."
Daniel raises his eyebrows, exiting the room.

Venus' phone buzzes. It's late at night, and nobody really... texts her this late. Or at all.
It's very cringy, but it's a GIF of a Cher from Clueless saying: "Ugh, as if!", paired with a text message that says 'you being too cool for Cobra Kai'.
It's not that funny, but Venus laughs at the message and responds.
