"YOU SEEM IN BETTER SPIRITS TODAY." Dr. Smith commented with a small smile as she sat across from Audrey who has had a small grin on her face during their whole session.
"Sure, Dr. Smith. Would you rather I sit here all mopey?" Audrey asked crossing her arms over her chest, trying not to think of a certain blue eyed man
There's something about the elder Salvatore that peaks Audrey's interest, he's different than the other people in Mystic Falls. Meaning that he doesn't know about what happened to her parents, which means he doesn't walk on egg shells and hold that sympathetic look in his eye that the elder Gilbert girl is getting tired of.
He seems like someone Audrey could definitely see herself getting along with in the future.
"Oh definitely not, as lovely as that is I think I prefer this Audrey. How was your weekend? Did you enjoy watching the comet?" Dr. Smith asked and Audrey shrugged
"Yeah it was alright." Audrey nodded picking at a loose thread on her sleeve
"How did you feel? I know this was your first one without your parents." Dr. Smith said and Audrey clenched her jaw
"There's going to be a lot of firsts now that their gone. Sitting around and thinking about it isn't going to bring them back." Audrey said and Dr. Smith nodded
"I know it'll be hard. But that's why we have these sessions, this is a safe place for you to come and talk and get things off your chest." Dr. Smith spoke
Audrey swallowed and looked down at her watch and cleared her throat before standing up and grabbing her purse.
"See you next week." Audrey said before leaving not giving Dr. Smith the chance to respond
Before going to school Audrey stopped at the local coffee shop and got a caramel latte and a chocolate chip muffin for breakfast. As she was about to drive away from the drive thru a crow landed on the hood of her car making her jump in surprise.
"What the hell?" Audrey mumbled with furrowed brows, the crow didn't move it just sat there staring at her. "Ok this is creepy."
Audrey started driving forward despite the crow still sitting in the same position, luckily it flew away with a squawk just as she was about to turn onto the main road.
