let's go

'dinner's ready' I hear bobby practically yell so that everyone could hear. finally, my favourite part of the day, dinner, especially baby's dinner, he always makes the best ones.

I was about to sit down when he says 'ah, no. today, we have a seating chart' he can't be serious. I look at him with puppy eyes and he returns me a serious look. he is serious 'fine🙄'.

i sit down where there's a paper with my name, after a minute everyone else is here and sat down, great, I had Evan next to me, and I really don't want to talk to him about drink yet, so im keeping' it cool. or at least I thought

'so tess, you're a surgeon?' hen says, I've gotten to know her today and she is actually really nice and funny. 'yes, I am, but I started as a paramedic, thanks to bobby' now Evan suddenly turn his attention to me as if I said something that clicked in his head. 'wow that's so cool!, but why did you become a surgeon then?' he asked too curiously 'um, well, I figured I'd get less attached to my patients if I didn't know what happened before they went to the hospital and not be the one that makes them traumatised, but the one that cures them fully.' I say and suddenly everyone looks at me as if they knew exactly what they're talking about. and I'm pretty sure they do. 

the dinner was really good, and it was so much fun getting to know everyone else of the 118, but I really had to go home since their shift's just ended and I had an early morning tomorrow at the hospital.

'well, thank you guys so much for welcoming me into the station, and bobby, the food was great as always' I say hugging everyone as they were also getting ready to leave 'but I also have to go cuz I have an early morning tomorrow' I specifically tell my uncle to let him know where I'm gonna be

'im glad you had fun and remember, you're welcome here anytime tess' bobby says 'do you have a ride?' he asks. shit, I took the bus today thinking I was gonna come home early, but the buses don't go around this late. 'shit, no, but it's fine, I can just order an uber' I say opening the uber app on my phone

'nonsense' bobby says 'buck get out here' he yells like it's an order, Evan was in the middle of changing his shirt, but he know better than to make the chief wait (as he should). 'yeah cap?' he comes in shirtless not realising I was there 'oh shit sorry' he said, but I didn't mind at all 'oh no, im sorry' I say without thinking, when I clearly wasn't sorry. 

'anyways' bobby interrupts 'buck, can you take Tess home?' he says. shit, what if he says no, im gonna look like a fool. 'my pleasure cap' he said smiling, maybe he isn't gonna be as bad as I thought.

'just lemme get changed first and ill be back in 2 minutes, time it!' he says, why does he want us to time it? 'ah buck, always wanting to be the fastest here' bobby says 'yeah, he seems like the golden retriever of the 118' I say jokingly

'ok, I'm ready, let's go' buck says, wow that was fast. anyways, I say bye to everyone and go home cuz it's almost 1am
