'so...' I say awkwardly cuz I have no idea of what to say 'so...' Evan says 'well, it looks like we're gonna be a while here, the traffic's not gonna stop soon I think' he says finally breaking the ice 'ugh, I'm gonna be so tired for my shift tomorrow' I say putting both my hands in my face. 'hey, it's ok, if you wanna sleep more than 8 hours tonight you can sleep at my house, you can take the bed' he said, he's so kind and yes, golden retriever coded.

'really? you wouldn't mind?' I say knowing that's a lot to offer to someone you've basically just met 'of course, anything for the captain's niece and family from the 118' he says smiling. I hug him tightly 'thank you so, so much' I say eternally grateful to him 'of course' he says smiling and returning the hug.

'ok, so I'm gonna take a detour home, that's near the hospital too.' he says as he moves the car 'so, at what time do you need to be at the hospital tomorrow?' he asks, idk why tho 'I have to be there at 6:30am, I know, too early' I say 'yep, early, anyways, what did you mean during dinner that you became a paramedic cuz of bobby, what about your parents?' he asks, I almost flinch when he says that, but I try to weigh it down

'oh Evan, that's a story for another time' I tell him cuz I really do not want to speak about it right now 'uh, actually, it's buck, not Evan' he corrects me. 'oh, I know Evan, I just like saying Evan better, Evan' I say to annoy him, and it's working, he get kinda embarrassed and blushes a little bit, but I noticed nothing🤭.

'so, here we are' Evan says opening the door, 'oh my gosh! this is huge, I love it so much' I say amazed by how big it is and how they constructed it 'yeah, thanks, although the decor was mostly my sister and hen insisting it needs more colour' he says, I can definitely see hen telling him that 'well, I love it this way, ok, where is your couch?' I ask putting my stuff on the kitchen island

'oh no, you're not getting the couch, you're getting the bed' Evan says seriously, yeah right, like I'm gonna let him sleep on the couch 'yeah right, please give a blanket and YOU sleep on the beed' I insist 'no, you're getting the bed' he insists more, this guy is gonna be a torture to be around 'fine, let's do this, I have one side of the bed, you have the other, that way, we both sleep on the bed and no one sleeps in the couch' I say, pretty good idea from myself

he seems to think about what I just said 'deal' finally, now we can both sleep good and on a bed. 'but here' he hands me a big shirt, which I'm pretty sure its his and some sweats. 'you're not sleeping with jeans' this guy just gets kinder every second, at work, he seems dull, but in his personal life, he's so much more kinder and bright

'well, thank you so much, for everything, letting me crash here and for lending me your clothes' yes, I smelled the clothes to make sure they were his and not just some shirts and pants he keeps for girls he brings. 'of course, that's what friends are for' he winks at me

we're about to go to sleep, I doubt I'm gonna get 8 hours of sleep, but more than I would have gotten at my own apartment definitely.

'this is your side' he says 'great, thanks' I say and I tuck myself in because I'm actually cold and I think Evan noticed, because the second we're both in bed, he pulls me in towards him for him to keep me warm 'thank you, for everything' I basically mumble as I was almost asleep

'you're welcome, for everything' he whispers in my ear giving me a little kiss on my back
