Chapter 1

*Jessica's POV*

"Two more exams" I whispered to motivate myself. I was sitting my last two GSCE exams today. Then, I was free for summer.

I woke up an hour earlier to study but at this point, I couldn't be more bothered. I hopped into the shower. When I got out of it, I looked in the mirror and admired my body. I had been working on it for the past few months for the beach party next week to celebrate the end of GSCE's.

I got dressed and headed downstairs to the kitchen where I met my mum and my dad. My dad was reading some paper work. He looked stressed. I didn't take much notice to it. After I at my breakfast, I started walking to my bus stop.

On the way, I met my best friend since I was 4, Amelia. Amelia was like a family member to me. We sat on our usual seats on the bus.

"So, what are you wearing to Jason's next week?" Amelia turned to me. Jason was my boyfriend, also the host of the beach party. "I was thinking of that blue jumpsuit I bought for my cousins wedding"' I answered unsurely.

We made it into school and I was greeted by Jason. We've been together for about 4 months, he asked me out around Valentines Day. My parents weren't sure of him, but Amelia said he was the right one for me, so I took her word for it.

After we sat our first exam, we had a two hour break. Jason and I took a stroll in the local park. "I think we should start taking things more seriously" Jason confessed. At first I was confused. "And by that, what do you mean?" I asked him. "You know, the next level.." He muttered. I knew where he was going. "Jason, I'm not sure if I'm ready, I'm not even the legal age for alcohol yet. My birthday isn't until August" I replied to him. "It's fine. Forget I even mentioned it" he answered in a pissy tone. I brushed his attitude off and changed the topic.

After the second exam, everyone cheered and danced at the school gates. Everyone was hugging each other and taking pictures with each other. Jason hugged me from behind and kissed my cheek. He was in a completely different mood. He told me to meet him tonight. As usual, I ignored this change & got on the bus with Amelia.

When we both returned to my house, we decided to set up a sleepover for a few close friends of ours to celebrate.

Later that night, my friends and I said we were going for a walk. This was just my excuse to meet Jason.

We met with Jason and a few of his friends. We were sitting in a lane way when Jason pulled out a cigarette. "What the fuck Jason? That's disgusting!" I snapped at him. "Oh fuck off" he snapped.

He seemed so snappy and bossy recently. After about an hour, we decided to head back home. Amelia pulled me aside. "Is there anything going on between you and Jason?" she asked. "I don't think so anyways.." I answered.
