My team would kill me if they knew where i was.
It was 9 pm, and i was supposed to be in bed already to be well rested for tomorrow, but instead, i was out with Oscar. The two of us didn't feel like sleeping early because of how nervous we were feeling, so we met up and now we are sitting in the car his team rented. We were in a random street, far away enough from both of our hotels so we wouldn't be seen by anyone from our teams.
— We are so dead if anyone sees us.— Oscar says, lying on his seat.— But i'm not sure why, the race it's at 6 pm here, and it's not like we need to be up at 6 am.
— You're right, it's nonsense. I don't think anyone would see us, the only reason they would look for us is if anyone tells on us and that could only be Charles, so we can get revenge.
— Charles? Why?
— He asked about the shadow on the picture posted and i told him it was yours.— i shrugged my shoulders and looked out the window.
He didn't say anything else and we fell into a comforting silence. Well, it wasn't completely silent, the nightlife was at its peak outside the car. You could hear the music from a club miles away.
— ¿How are you feeling for tomorrow? You broke every expectation with that P6.
I smile.— I'm excited, to be honest, nervous, anxious, scared. Every feeling you could ever feel, i'm feeling it right now.
I looked over at him. He looked so... cuddly, with his hoodie, messy hair, and calm eyes.
— It's not always good to feel that much.
— It isn't, but anyways .— i sit up.— ¿do you wanna go somewhere? i'm just fine staying here in the car, I'm just wondering.
He thought about it for a second.— yeah sure, let's go somewhere quieter, i'm getting sick of all the noise.
He takes off and i turn on the radio, Taylor Swift is playing. I smile widely and prepare myself to scream at the lyrics. It was better than therapy, to be honest. The song was none other than Wildest Dreams, Taylorʼs version. I was out of breath when it finished. I didn't know the next song, so I turned all my attention to the views outside. I had no idea where we were, I was putting all my trust in Oscar. He looked like he knew what he was doing, he was so focused on the road and it was cute, the way he squinted his eyes now and then, or how he passed his hand through his hair on a red light. His hair was a bit long, but I liked how it looked.
Okay, I was staring.
I looked away with my cheeks as red as a tomato from embarrassment. The car stopped after two more songs, I looked around and we were outside a building, I looked back at Oscar with a confused look and he signed me to get out of the car. We both did, it was such a tall building.
— ¿What are we doing here? — I ask walking up to him.
— I'm going to show you the best views of Bahrain.
Oscar offered me his hand and I took it without a doubt. He smiled at me and guided me inside the building, he greeted the doorman like he had known him forever. We took the elevator and he pressed the 50th floor. What. The. Fuck.
— 50 floors? — i ask with a concerned look and squeezing his hand.
— Yeah, i told you, the best views.
I lay on the wall.— If i die, you're the only one at fault.
— ¿Do you seriously believe i would let anything happen to you?
