Azerbaijan 2023.

Finally race week again.

Today I had media duties to attend, after almost a whole month off. First a meeting with the PR management team to go over a few things, then interviews and a press conference. Lunch break. Record a video for Porsche's YouTube channel, take a few pictures and I think that was it. It was a long day, but it was so worth it. I was looking forward to recording the YouTube video, they will make us do a fun little challenge with Mick.

— Planning on visiting your boyfriend? — asks Mick, walking next to me and jokingly hitting my arm.

— No can't do it, I have work to do.

— Yeah, but how can you work when you can't get him off your mind? — he was gonna hit me again, but I stopped his hand and hit him instead.— Ouch!

I laughed and patted his arm.— Sorry mate, too slow.

Mick looks away and a smile forms on his face, he touches my arms and points in that direction with his head. I look up and a smile forms on my face the second a pair of brown eyes look back at me. Oscar waved his hand, I waved back and he winked his eye at me before walking away. That was all I needed to work nonstop for the next hours, it was better than drinking an energy drink.

— You're whipped, damn. — before I could hit him again, he took off running.— Ha!

I roll my eyes with a smile and let him run for a moment, I could see a victorious smile form on his face, but that smile washes off the second I start running after him. Mick let out a surprised scream and ran as fast as he could, but not fast enough. I caught him right before he went inside Porsche's building.

— Please, I have a family and a dog that depends on me. — he dramatically says when I grab his arm and I burst out laughing.

I just patted his head and walked inside, taking a sip of my water bottle and I went straight to the kitchen to grab some breakfast for myself. I didn't have time to grab something before coming to the track, I was having a rough time adapting to the new time zone. I grabbed myself some waffles, a hot tea, and a bowl of fruit, to then sit down on a free table. A few engineers were already eating, I waved at them with a smile, they also had a long day ahead, making some adjustments to the cars to get them to work their best in these conditions.

I was excited about this race, I was finally gonna get behind a true car, and I was growing a bit sick of the simulator. Don't get me wrong, it was an amazing simulator and very realistic, but nothing compares to the real deal.

— Here you are, I have been looking everywhere for you.— says a familiar voice.

I turned around and a smile appeared on my face when I saw Ivy. I got up in one jump and hugged her tightly. I knew she was coming, I put her name on my guest list so she could get a pass, but she told me she could only make it to the race due to her work.

— ¿What are you doing here today? I thought you were arriving on Sunday! — I say letting go of the hug but holding her hands.

— Originally I was, but then I realized how much I missed you and I moved a few strings to arrive here earlier.— she says with a huge smile and hugs me again, letting out a small scream.— Ugh give me another hug!

I laughed, still a bit shocked and I hugged her back. I missed the feeling of home that comes around every time she's near. We let go after a few minutes, we were getting weird looks and got a bit embarrassed, so we sat down.
