ashton knew why he was serving detention, he talked back to a teacher about a question, which slowly escalated to them fighting in the middle of class, when the teacher yelled at ashton to go to the office, he knew it was fucked.
when ashton goes to the office, seeing micheal walking out makes him ill. not the sight of micheal (well, not entirely.) but the words he heard from the principal mr.pulver go "detention after school. room 127" ashton crossed his fingers that he didn't have detention, he really, really did not like micheal, not for any specific reasons, he just thought micheal was a douche.
when ashton walked into the office and sat down, mr.pulver already knew what happened, but made ashton tell him anyway.
"well, you know the rules. detention after school today. room 127. i expect better next time ash."
"i understand, have a good day mr.pulver."
ashton walked out, not so happy. not only did he have to stay after school on a friday, he was supposed to go to niall's house directly after school. but no. he was stuck sitting in a classroom with micheal for 2 hours. just his luck.
