C H A P T E R T H R E E

calum has morning practice, as they always did on fridays since friday is game day. he was to say the least, very excited. it was against their rival school, to which they are undefeated, calum was always proud of the 'undefeated school' title. this morning calum was tired, very tired. he was excited for the game yea, but stayed up late the night before, he got to practice with bags under his eyes, the mornings were always chilly, but it wasn't terrible.

as they were warming up, he saw a group of guys talking, he didn't want to eavesdrop but when he heard his own name, he was intrigued, he slowly moved closer, just to be in range to hear them.

it wasn't anything really serious, just them shit talking him, calum usually wouldn't care too much, but it was way too early, and calum was extremely tired.

"how about instead of bitching about me, you actually warm up. no wonder everytime you guys are on the field we can't get any points."

"say somethin' hood?" one said, smirking at him.

"yea i did. i said to stop being pricks and actually y'know, try and get better at the game, saying that you're pretty shit." calum spat back at him.

as soon as calum said that, one of the guys shoved calum, he was not gonna do this, this early in the morning. calum pushed him to the ground, and like that walked away.

well to his dismay, the coach had seen calum push him.

"HOOD, GET OVER HERE" he heard coach yell.

"thanks a lot dickhead." calum said before walking over.

while the coach was bickering at calum, not letting him explain anything, the coach just plainly ended his sentence with

"i'm gonna have to give you detention, and that means, no playing in the game tonight."

'well fucking great." calum thought as he went back to practice.
