Leon woke up with a half-naked Gwaine splayed across his chest, "what the fuck?" He murmured. Then he heard shouting from Arthur in Merlin's room.
"Someone's mad" groaned Gwaine, getting up by pushing himself off Leon's pecs.
"Ow! Get off, you bastard!" Leon pushed him, only for the brunette to lose balance and fall on his chest again.
"Wow, Leon, did you work out while being in a coma because those abs are still as hard as rock?" he raised his eyebrows looking through Leon's thin shirt.
"No, it's immortality doing its job," he shrugged, "you know you're a pervert, Gwaine?"
"The ladies love it," he ran a hand through his locks, whilst laying on Leons chest looking up at him.
"Say's the man who got slapped on his first day back to life," mocked Leon.
"Hey! Cut me some slack, I was lost!"
The brown-haired knight scoffed, "I'm going to go figure out what Arthur's yelling about."
"Yeah, fix the trouble in paradise."
Leon rolled out from underneath Gwaine, rolling his eyes, "you've seen too many movies."
"We both know there is some sexual tension between them, they just need to shag and it will all be better," laughed Gwaine, winking.
"You're filthy." The knight left the room and began up the stairs at which he walked into Arthur stomping down annoyed. "Arthur is pissed and doesn't want to talk, noted." In Merlin's bedroom, Leon saw the boy on the ground. The raw wounds from yesterday, reopened, bandages cast aside.
Merlin looked up desperately when he heard the door open, "Leon?" His voice cracked.
"Gods, Merlin. What happened?" He picked Merlin up from the floor and sat him on the bed. He sat across from him trying to stem the bleeding from the wounds.
Merlin was crying and as hard as he tried the cascade of tears wouldn't dry. He knew Arthur would react badly, yet he still told him. Merlin knew the king deserved to know. He'd called Merlin selfish. It hurt to hear that coming from the king's mouth because he'd lost so much for the once and future king, but what did he get in return? Labelled selfish. "I told Arthur about- about Morgana."
Leon hesitated, but he had to specify what about Morgana that Merlin was talking about, "the...poison?"
He nodded, "it's all my fault. Gwen wouldn't have died and Percival and Arthur and Elyan and Gaius and Gwaine," he was blurting out everything that came to his mind and Leon frowned. "If only I'd told Morgana. If I wasn't such an idiot," he sobbed.
"No Merlin, you're not an idiot. You're brilliant. Arthur doesn't know what he's talking about," Leon stated kindly despite the anger growing inside him, "I'll be back, okay."
"Where are you going?" Merlin stopped the knight in his act of getting up.
"Having a little talk with Arthur."
"No, Leon. Don't!" But Leon had slipped out the door with an apologetic smile.
Leon was outraged that Arthur could make Merlin, the warlock who'd gone through pain and waited years for him, feel like that. Merlin had loved him for years and Arthur had no right to treat him like a servant anymore. If only Arthur knew what the sorcerer had gone through. Leon knew, Leon had seen him cry, scream and break down and there'd been nothing he could do to help. Only Arthur's return could help him, but Arthur was being an arse. "Arthur Pendragon!" He snapped.
Arthur, who was pacing in the living room, zipped around, "what?"
"You go upstairs right now and make it up to Merlin," Leon began, "I don't care that you used to be my king. I'm ordering you to go up there right now."
