It had been a whole day since they had seen each other, wrapped up in their own worlds. Neteyam and Omraya were hanging out, she came to him and he sort of accepted her presence. He needed a friend right now, and she felt like a stranger he had to pretend around. Playing the role of being happy was exhausting. Aonung and Meri were also spending more time together, she was tall and lean- with long black curls. He could not have cared less about her, but regardless put on airs. All the girls were the same to him, and he couldn't distinguish their faces and actions- all he thought was how dull they were compared to his forest boy. Neteyam treated her as kindly as he could. As they ate by the beach and talked small talk, Aonung walked past, Meri on his arm. They made brief eye contact but Neteyam couldn't keep it up and looked at the food in his hand. He felt a blush of humiliation spread across his face when the sweet voice talked again "What happened between you two?" she hadn't asked what happened last night, to which Neteyam was grateful. He looked at her trying to keep a blank expression, catching the site of Aonung as he disappeared into the horizon.

He didn't know what to say, did he tell the truth or come up with a lie? Eventually he had to speak, so he said the first thing that came to mind "Oh not much, he was a bit drunk- i think he just needs time to sober up" he said with a bitterness. She watched his furrowed brows "What's really going on Neteyam?" she pleaded, and he caved slightly letting his face slip into sorrow for a split moment. "Really, it's just a small fight, don't worry about it" he tried to smile but it looked off and wrong.

Aonung didn't talk much, mostly Meri. He sighed and she stopped rambling "What's wrong? Am I boring you?" He went to defend but nothing came out. "I think i need some time Meri" she dropped his arm and he held a hand to his head putting on a tough front. "I knew you didn't like me" she said with a huff, "so who is it then?" she said, as if she had a right to know. He paused and with poison on his tongue hissed, "Neteyam, i'm in love with a Omaticaya boy of demon blood who can't bear children or be tsahik as a Metkayina future Ole'ekytan" Her eyes widened, she would have laughed thinking it were a joke if she hadn't seen that wild look in his eyes. As if the cool waters in them turned into a storm. She knew he wasn't directing these feelings at her, but at the situation he was in- it was obvious yet she felt incredibly let down and hurt. He grabbed her shoulders as if to say, don't tell a soul. She grabbed a hand "It is okay, I will always support you, as a great warrior and future leader first" He let out a breath he didn't know he was holding and hugged her tight.

All day Neteyam and Aonung thought of their fight, wanting nothing more than to fix things. Neteyam wasn't ready to talk about his deep and dark feelings, but the time was ticking and inching closer every second. He looked up at his hands as he lay in his pod, and turned to hug Tuk for comfort, holding her lightly. "Teyam?" she said still sleepy, waking up from her daze. He hushed her and soothed her back to sleep. It must have been hours after eclipse when he felt someone shaking his shoulder. He opened his eyes to see Aonung, eyes darting around as he crouched. He covered his mouth and he squirmed slightly, as if to ask what he was doing in his marui pod. Tuk rustled beside him, and Aonung dropped his hand and signed 'come with me.' He didn't have time to ask before Aonung had left and jumped onto the sand. He slipped out of bed with a curious nature, as the boy waited with a hand to help him down. He grabbed his hand and without much warning they were leaping and running across the beach for what seemed forever. "What is this about you crazy skxawng" he looked back at Neteyam and smiled "we are nearly there"

When they arrived Neteyam was conscious of the fact Aonung hadn't dropped his hand, they walked under a low hanging tree, and Aonung sat. He pulled his arm over to sit next to him on the soft moss, lighting up with every touch. The tree like a willow hung keeping them obscured from view. Neteyam remained quiet playing with the glowing flowers, hoping Aonung would explain. "I've always wanted to bring someone here, under this tree on a night like this." The moons were out and the stars were twinkling, there was a green aurora simmering through the sky. "I wanted to bring someone who i cared about, someone strong and beautiful" he said looking at Neteyam "yet you bring me, thats foolish, why not Meri?" Aonung stopped and looked at the removed boy, clearly gone to the wind. "It's not Meri who i like" he said low and calm. Neteyam looked over with tears in his eyes, shock dawning over him. He couldn't believe it, but his hand grabbing his face told him otherwise. His heart going crazy with fear and love. "It's always been you, Neteyam" he looked away trying to hide his tears with his hand. "Mawey, look at me...nga yawne lu oer" He wiped his tears with his thumb. They did not know what to do, other than be with each other at this moment.

He shook his head and Aonung grabbed his hand and placed it onto his heart. His heartbeat was rapid and fast- just as Neteyam's. Neteyam gazed up shyly from their hands and looked all over him. The feelings bubbling up all at once tightening his stomach. In the silence his eyes darting around he doesn't know who kissed first all he remembers is the instinct to never let go.

He wrapped his arms around the bigger boy's neck and leant into his body. Their halves completely filling each other into a whole. It was gentle, Aonung taking his time, Neteyam growing impatient. It started to heat up as he pushed his tongue to Aonung, letting out a soft sound. Aonung deepened the kiss upon hearing him and the kiss became hot and needy, pushing each other back and yet pulling each other so desperately close so there was no space to breathe. Aonung immediately dominated his mouth- completely melting the other boy and turning him to jelly. He shuddered as their skin touched as if it was for the first time. Aonung grabbed his face and stroked it as Neteyam put his hands on his back, now straddling his lap. He felt Aonung touching him all over, and tugged gently at his back muscles. They parted to breathe and Aonung stared into his eyes while he stared at his lips yearning for more.

They didn't know how much time had passed, only that they needed to keep going. They both knew this was as far as they could go, any further and they would be crossing a line that was never meant to be crossed. But they wanted the other so badly, completely aroused and ready, "I can't, Aonung, this isn't right" he lied. "Kissing is okay right?" he smiled and Neteyam felt his stomach tighten. They continued until they couldn't handle it any longer, then they cooled off and went home- as if nothing had taken place.
