The kids went downstairs, ready to find the staff and the crossbow, Twig went to get some things that will help them with the mission, Mrs. Rosenburg noticed them. "Are kids going to go out to the creek?" Mrs. Rosenburg asked.
"Yeah, we just need to do some work" Twig answered.
"Be careful out there, there was a small earthquake overnight and left a few cracks" Mrs. Rosenburg informed. The kids were surprised of the sudden news, they were also confused. "There was an earthquake last night? Why didn't we feel it?" Craig questioned.
"Oh, that was just a small one, it did not shake us up, but it still left a few cracks on the ground so be careful out there" Mrs. Rosenburg answered.
"Come on, Mom, it's couldn't possibly be that bad" Twig complained, not believing small little cracks are much damage to the creek.
-----When the kids got to the Creek, they couldn't believe their eyes: The ground of the Creek was riddled with cracks, making it a bit crooked. "Never mind, it IS that bad" Twig retaliated, regretting her early statement.
"And they're all over the creek, this is going to be difficult now that these cracks are in the way" Craig complained.
"We gotta persevere through this, these cracks are our obstacles, but obstacles are made to be overcome" Kelsey encouraged.
Craig nodded, understanding Kelsey. "We know the crossbow is in a hidden cave, but Wilhelm had said that his staff is at the tallest tree at the creek, what's the tallest tree in the Creek?" Twig asked. Everyone pondered for the answer, Craig then remembered something: Mt. Sycamore.
"Mount Sycamore! That's the tallest tree!" Craig exclaimed.
"Oh man, the last time we climbed up there, I got stung by a wasp" JP reminded, remembering the time that they climbed to find Craig's cellphone.
"Man, that's dark, but don't worry! There won't be trouble with me around!" Twig encouraged, determined to help J.P.
"Aww, thanks, Twigster" JP thanked.
"Alright guys, time to get this searching thing going, be careful out there and we'll meet back at the stump once the searching is over" Craig explained. Everyone nodded as they understood the plan, Kelsey, Omar, and Craig went to find the hidden cave with the crossbow in it. JP and Twig got prepared to find the staff on Mt. Sycamore.-----Craig, Kelsey, and Omar searched around the creek for the hidden cave, with Craig bringing his sword along with him just in case. "Hmmm, where should that hidden cave be? It could be anywhere?" Omar questioned.
"It can be anywhere; it is hidden after all" Craig answered. Suddenly, Craig had another headache, but this time it wasn't as bad as before, he then saw another vision: The vision gave him the location to the hidden cave.
"Craig! Are you alright? Are you having another vision?" Omar asked, concerned. Craig snapped out of his vision, he then sighed. "I did have another vision, and it gave me information to where the hidden cave is, follow me" Craig explained. Craig guided Kelsey and Omar to where the hidden cave was, they ran until they stopped by a hill with a large opening on it.
