Craig of the Creek: Fighting for the Creek

The Chaos Begins

The next day, The Stump Kids was unable to go to the creek because of the ensuring earthquake, so Craig and his friends had to use the face chat to talk to each other. "Can you guys believe that the earthquake excluded us from the Creek?!" Craig exclaimed.

"Yeah, that was a horrible fate, and our weapons are over there so we don't have access to them, but we can still have our fighting to train!" Kelsey replied while showing her punching skills.

"My sister is checking everyone in the neighborhood to check if everyone is ok, I have a feeling she is going to be working all day today" J.P. added.

"You think that coma-like dream was telling you that Nimue was coming?" Omar questioned, worriedly. Craig thought about what Omar had said, if the dream really was telling him that Nimue was coming sooner than they thought then they may need to expect the unexpected, Craig sighed as he gave his answer.

"I think she is, but she may come sooner than we thought, we should be prepared, she could come out at any time" Craig informed to his friends. Kelsey, J.P., Omar, and Twig nodded, understanding what Craig had to say, at the same time, they were uncertain about what was about to happen.

Craig then suddenly heard a knock at the door, interrupting his thought. "Looks like Laura's here, I will talk to you guys later" Craig told them.

"We're going to visit you just in case anything happens, we'll see you, kid" Twig added. Everyone then waved goodbye, Craig then clicked off the video call and went downstairs. Later, Laura had checked out Craig, there were no serious injuries as of now and he was feeling alright for now.

"Craig's doing fine, he doesn't have any injuries so he should be good" Laura informed to Nicole.

"Well, he had fainted yesterday at the Creek when this mysterious earthquake had started, and he had a few headaches too, we're not sure what's up with him" Nicole added.

"I'm not sure either, Bernard and Jessica are doing good as well but there's something mysterious going on with Craig, not sure what it is, it's like.... something out of magic" Laura replied.

J.P., Kelsey, Omar, and Twig then came inside, surprising the three. "How did you guys get in the house?" Laura questioned.

"We wanted to see if Craig was ok" J.P. answered to his sister.

"Guys, I'm perfectly ok, I just had a checkup...but I feel nervous, what if she's coming?" Craig replied, a bit nervous.

"Craig, what are you talking about? Who's coming?" Duane asked, confused as he prepared some emergency supplies.

"I..I'm sorry, I can't tell you now" Craig stuttered.

"Tell us what? What are you hiding?" Nicole asked, a bit concerned and stern. Craig looked at his parents in concern, he questioned whether he should tell his parents the truth or not, but if he did, they would probably not believe him. "Mom...Dad, I-" Craig started.

Suddenly, Craig was hit with another headache, but it was more intense then the first time, Craig yelled as he held his head with both hands and knelt to the ground. "Craig!" Everyone exclaimed in worry as they went to him.

"Are you ok, my guy?! What's happening?!" Duane exclaimed.

"It's happening again..." Omar whispered, worried about his friend.

Craig grunted as the pain overtook his mind, his eyes then widened, and they briefly turned green, he then saw another vision: It was the town of Herkleton, it was being destroyed by another earthquake, this time it was the earthquake he saw in his first vision. He then saw the brambles and the branches again, he felt fear in his heart as the vision played in his mind, he then saw some brambles growing upwards, the brambles them opened up and revealed someone: It was Nimue. Nimue laughed maniacally as she saw her domination going into full plan, Craig looked in horror as he saw this.

Craig then gasped as he fell back, he blinked and shook his head: he was back to his house and everyone stared at him in worry, Nicole helped him up. "Craig, I know there's something you're hiding, you can't keep hiding it anymore, so whether we believe it or not, you need to tell us the truth now" she said, sternly. Craig didn't want to end up telling the truth to everyone, but he knew the truth needed to be told, he sighed as tears appeared in his eyes.

"Ok...The prophecy about Miles and Nimue...it was true all along, and I am the wielder of Miles' sword, me and my friends were training for the day Nimue would come...and It's coming at any minute" Craig confessed. Duane and Nicole were shocked, they couldn't believe that not only their son was Miles' ancestor, but that the prophecy was true.

"My man...why didn't you tell us?" Duane asked, sterned and shocked. Craig looked down, ashamed of himself for keeping the secret. "I didn't want you guys to be mad..." Craig quivered, tears streaming down his face. Duane and Nicole looked at Craig in worry, the others felt the worry as well, but before they can do anything else, the house started shaking intensely.

"W-What's happening?!" Nicole stuttered, alerted. Craig then suddenly got scared as he knew what was going on. "Oh no... It's happening..." He whispered. The earthquake then increased in intensity, Suddenly, Branches and brambles grew from the ground and started spreading around the house. "We need to get out of here now!" Duane shouted.

"But what about Bernard and Jessica?!" Nicole exclaimed. Meanwhile, Bernard and Jessica felt the shaking and then saw the brambles and branches growing all over the house. Jessica immediately ran to Bernard, scared out of her mind, Bernard picked her up immediately. "Don't worry, Jessica, we are getting out of here now!" He proclaimed, not letting her get injured by the earthquake. Bernard ran downstairs as fast as he could.

Meanwhile, The Williams, Kelsey, J.P., Omar, Twig, and Laura escaped the house as the brambles took them over, they all watched in shock and horror. Bernard then arrived downstairs, only to noticed that the door was covered in brambles, he looked at the window and decided that there was only one way out. "Jessica, hang on to me and don't let go!" He exclaimed. Jessica held on to Bernard as tight as she could, Bernard then yelled as he crashed through the window, both him and Jessica landed on the ground. Duane and Nicole went to them in worry. "Oh my gosh! Are you guys, ok?!" Nicole exclaimed in frantic worry.

"Jessica's fine, but I may come off with a few cuts" Bernard stuttered as he felt some pain from crashing through the window. Craig then looked around him, the branches and brambles grew around the whole town, destroying it and damaging everything, he then looked at the creek being destroyed...it was breaking his heart, then something sparked in his brain: He had to get the weapons. Craig started running towards the creek, much to the shock of everyone. "Craig?! What are you doing?!" JP shouted, in shock and worry.

"Get back here right now!" Nicole demanded.

"I have to get the weapons! I need to fulfill my destiny!" Craig shouted, desperate. Craig then proceeded to run inside of the creek, he managed to dodge many of the falling debris around him. Meanwhile, Everyone in Herkleton felt the Earthquake as it happened, Most of the Creek Kids were scared and were hiding to keep themselves safe, The Elders were at home, they were shocked when the earthquake struck, they barely escaped, Everyone in Herkleton was in panic, they were trying to survive the earthquake as much as possible, everything was going into chaos.

Craig raced towards the Stump despite the chaos that was happening around him, he quickly got inside and searched around the place for the weapons, he eventually found them and grabbed them. He quickly got out and began to escape the creek, he looked back and saw a horrifying sight: A tree fell over and crushed the stump. Craig can only look in horror as it happened. "The stump..." He quivered, upset and scared. The sounds of falling debris brought him back to his senses, he quickly ran out of the creek.

Meanwhile, everyone was looking at the creek, worried about the safety for Craig. Twig then saw Craig running out from the creek. "I see him!" Twig shouted, pointing over to him. Everyone stared in relief that Craig was ok, Suddenly, another part of the Creek collapsed behind him, a small piece of rock was approaching him.

"CRAIG, WATCH OUT!" Nicole shouted, looking in horror. Craig looked behind to see what was going on, but it was too late, the rock hit him directly in the head. Craig fell down after that, dropping the weapons to the floor, he weakly looked up as he saw everyone approaching him. "You guys..." Craig groaned. Craig then blacked out, falling unconscious.
