as no one could see her and mika didnt use the sword she thought it would be a good idea to go up to the human world.
now that she stood infront of the hq office where her old friend was in having a meeting was something she felt cautious about.
seeing him walking out of the double doors and greeting a guard, she came out of her hiding place that was behind the pillar.
„so i'm taking it that he's feeling good over the years?" she asks rhetorically, not thinking he could hear her.
„if you take it that he wants to join the front lines and kill you lot then yes he's well." he answers.
he laughs at the look on her face, „did you think i couldnt hear you?"
„guren-san.." she mumbles, „it's impossible for you to see me as i'm no longer.."
his eyes widen, „you're telling me you got yourself killed?!"
her eyes widen in alarm, „what?!" she screeches, „of course not! i'm stronger than those, i- i'm a demon. i'm in a sword crafted for the choosen one."
he tilts his head confused, „so you were never a vampire?"
„no i'm both, half vampire, half demon. not as easy as it sounds. i have been over 760 years now."
„so you're telling me that i dated a vampire when i was in high school?!" he asks again.
hayano sighs, „dont look like that. i think it was fun to date you! only now you're older looking and.."
he waited for her to finish the sentence, bouncing his leg a bit.
„you're a human. those kind of relationships are forbidden." she says seriously.
he chuckles, „i thought you would say that. but atleast you're still alive."
„the question is, how much longer..?" she mumbles.
he didnt hear her as yuu came running at him, yelling out curses.
she took it as her sign, „i'll see you soon, grape head."
she smiles sadly to him as he looks at her, she mouths 3 words to him before disappearing into nothing, as if someone had killed her with a cursed weapon.

hayano walks down the halls of the school yuu was in, seeing a girl with light purple hair walking towards her, but past her, as she couldnt be seen.
the air shifts and hayano looks around, why was she feeling a presence? and who would it be?
„i hope you're taking care of him." a male voice said before she turned around quickly.
a male with long hair looks toward her with a small smile, „promise me."
her mouth fell open, was that..but how..? she quickly nods her head, „of course i will. he's very special to me."
he nods his head, „yes, he indeed is special."
with that the male leaves and the air shifts back to how it was before. it left hayano confused as she didnt really know who the male was but guessed he meant mika as he was the only one by her side most of the time.

arriving back at the vampire city, hayano trys to find mika. she never fought with anyone before, well not verbal atleast and she could understand him but they needed to sort it out before he would go up and fight again. they needed a good connection to maintain their strength, if not she could overtake him without even wanting or worse, he would die.
as mika isnt a full vampire that could happen easily. that and hayano wants to be seen again, not that it was important.
so walking down the halls she hears his breathing and follows the sound. when she opens the door to his bedroom she saw him in bed, breathing rather heavy.
„mika..?" she mutters, seeing how the boy was furrowing his brows and crinkling his nose in distaste.
„mika." she taps his shoulder, no answer, „mika!" she tries shaking his shoulder.
when he wakes up his eyes had a slight ruby glint in them, she retreats her hand quickly, thinking she was the cause.
and in a way she was but she was too scared to acknowledge that for now. „mika are you alright?"
„what do you want now? tell me what more you did?" he grumbles, turning on his side with his back to her.
she sighs and sits down on the edge of his bed, „if you want that, i can tell you how i turned. i just want us to be close again, it could hurt you if we were fighting while i'm in the sword."
when he didnt answer she sighs, laying in his bed and turning so she was facing his back, she closes her eyes and hugs him, her arms around his torso.
after a few seconds she fell asleep while hugging him and mika thought about what she said, she would tell him how she turned. not many would do that nowadays.
he felt close to her, and not because she was laying in the same bed, but emotionally close. he hated the thought of her being his demon, giving him the strength he needed.
but why did he feel the need to protect her along with yuu? why did he feel that kind of way?
